I was present for a conference. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely terrible. Breakfast, I requested vegetarian/vegan, I received eggs and barely cooked sausage - and I was told it would take 20 minutes for a vegetarian breakfast.
At our gala dinner, I was supposed to receive a vegetarian plate. I was told the same thing. Everyone had finished their dinner, and finally, a staff member said that I would have to wait 30 minutes for a vegetarian meal. After 15 minutes, she returned with a fatty beef dish, mashed potatoes, and carrots, and said, “this is all we have”
The grab and go lunch service lines were short, but it took the staff member almost 4 minutes to check each person out. I grabbed a slice of pizza… by the time I could eat it, it was cold and tasted bad.
The carpet in the main lobby smelled like sewage it seemed… it was awful, even with a mask on.
I was not pleased with this conference venue, however the hotel was okay. If you need a large space for a conference, the Sheraton has it, but dig into the details and logistics, and check for quality control during your event. I guarantee you, of the 800 people at this national event for educators, very few...
Read moreLeaking windows, rust and mold in the bathroom, and trash that has been sitting in our room for days even when requested bags and housekeeping multiple times. We are only here for a convention and then leaving back home... And honestly I'd say if the convention wasn't important, I'd not be back. The hotel staff has been mostly pleasent, but the service and the accommodations, especially for the cost, leave heaps to be desired. I got food poisoning from their restaurant, couldn't ever get a straight answer on drink prices because even the bartenders didn't know on day to day... It's a hotel that you stay at because there are no other choices and that's it. That is the ONLY reason to stay here honestly. Avoid it otherwise.
Also, adding this in for safety too. There are a few pics of the ice machine on our floor. That's black mold in there. No warning from the hotel, no action once they were told 5 days ago when we noticed. Be safe and...
Read moreThere's a couple conventions going on today. With all the people going on and out it's difficult to find the unlocked door. All the doors on the street are locked, the only door unlocked I can find is on the sky walk floor. I've never had such a hard time finding a door that was unlocked. There's also no signage pointing you to the unlocked door. Many attendees have walked around trying to find the "secret" entrance. The elevator at the parking garage entrance has also confused attendees with the labeling on the buttons not matching the label on the floors. I do appreciate the security team being very accommodating and friendly. Probably the nicest team over dealt with...
