See pics: Do not go here. Sigh. I wanted to like this place and use them for catering and special events. However I’m very disappointed at the size of their small board. The pictures are very inaccurate on the website. Literally barely does justice for 1 person. In addition. Trying to make the most out of it, the contents didn’t actually taste good and the fruits weren’t fresh. Lots of garnishing to fill space. Wouldn’t recommend.
If dimensions could be included especially so first timers know just how big/what to expect since the pics are misleading, that would be great.
Response to manager: I most definitely paid $27.50 for that and not $15. (Take time to learn your products and pricing before attack.)It appears without attempting to discuss with me a lot of assumptions are made on your part. If the dimensions are there now then good. If the portion is great for you that’s fine but this is my opinion on how I felt in regards to my experience not anyone else’s. I’m also unsure how you would see my transaction when details were not requested so how would you know what day and time I made a purchase? (Since that was pointed out see added photo of my transaction) Unless you’re insinuating it was stolen? This purchase was not worth it or suitable for me. Now for sure will most definitely not be returning or recommending this place to anyone. I could put that together for myself for less.
Receipts in pics for viewers.
Response to manager part II:
You could have equally spoken to me after my initial review rather than posting my review on your Instagram story with big girl energy.
Stop playing victim it’s not cute. Anyone can post a review whenever they feel the need that’s what this platform is for.
Stop telling me you’re a small business. I don’t have to do business with you. I chose to. And now after this behavior I have chosen not to. That’s how it works. Seek relief from the appropriate sources. In case you haven’t noticed we are ALL in this same pandemic together and how we spend matters as well.
Learn a lesson and be careful with attacking customers on social media. I will continue to give reviews on Google as I have praised plenty of businesses, small and large. You’re just not one...
Read moreFirst box I received was amazing. I ordered with an extremely cheerful young person (whose name I’ve forgotten unfortunately). The prosciutto were in florets, the cheese were sliced nicely instead of in cubes, and everything was placed aesthetically in which all ingredients were visible.
The second box was absolutely subpar — ordered with someone else this time. The presentation was a mess and was missing A LOT of things the first box had including the mustard and a scant amount of meat I asked for during the order. I purchased some trout roe which was placed in the box, and the box weighed less than the first. I spent more money and received significantly less. I had to ask for the mustard and the extra prosciutto during pickup.
Missing items: bee pollen, jam, mustard, almonds, dried figs, etc.
Updated review from 3 stars to 4 stars. Reply to the owner: I ordered the 8x11 custom board both times which includes a total of 5 items. She was supposed to put 2 orders of the prosciutto in order to hit the 5 item mark. The 3 cheeses + 1 charcuterie were only 4 items. I appreciate you addressing this with the refund. I really would love to come back and purchase another box made by the person who made the first. They did a great job, and my partner was extremely happy about the box on their birthday (which we had at...
Read moreI can’t imagine today of all days- after a week of snow storms here in Dallas, many without power, many without water- that someone would take the time out of their day to write a bad review about any food establishment, ESPECIALLY one like Fountboard & Table who has not only suffered bursting pipes and outages but who has scrambled in the midst of all this to provide the public with a warming space & FREE HOT FOOD in the snow/wind/chaos of it all.
Fountboard & Table goes above and beyond in literally putting the needs of their customers first & that is why I’ll forever support this family owned business in the heart of a very franchised Dallas food scene.
This is a top tier establishment & “restaurant” doesn’t even seem to justly describe all that they do for the surrounding community, local farmers, and vendors they partner with.
Their tea service is top notch (truly an intimate experience) & while their focus is fine local charcuterie, I’ve never had a sandwich here I didn’t just absolutely love. HIGHLY recommend them for all things food & beyond.
When you eat here- you’re eating...
