Two Hands — Restaurant in Dallas

I was really looking forward to dining here. One of the servers came to seat me and told me they were fully booked to the rest of the day. This was pretty shocking to me cause now I was not able to dine here. I asked if she was sure, and she said they only had seating at the bar if which was crowded and had little space between open seats. For some reason this server did not want me to dine there.

The manger then came behind her and told me I could be sat in 30mins. Which also frustrated me even more than I already was. There’s clearly a big difference between being booked all day to being sat in 30mins. He did confirm that they were in fact booked for the rest of the day but he’d “get me sat” upon further investigation I looked at their Resy app and they were fully open for reservations starting at 1pm as shown in my screen shot below. Very disappointed in management for blatantly lying. Even more frustrated that the staff cares so little about their customers they’d actually turn away business and lie than handle a rush with grace and hospitality.

I will add that my server (once I got sat) was astounding! She was kind, and excellent. My date showed up very late and she was graciously waiting for us to get settled.

Personally I won’t be back. Very disappointed in the quality vs. how much I paid. I had 2 mimosas, an app, two entres (small portions) and my tab was around $80 after tip.

I was so excited about the first two hands opened in Dallas. The resaurant located in the nice neighborhood with many options nearby. Parking can be a bit tricky, but thanks to the holiday weekend, we found a parking spot easily. The restaurant seems to be busy at brunch. I would recommend making reservations in advance . I really love the natural lighting and interior design of the restaurant. The atmosphere feels fresh, modern, and youthful. However , everything changed after our waitress came to our table. When our server approached the table, she spoke in a monotone and didn’t greet us with a smile or friendly attitude. It was hard to tell whether she was simply having a rough day or if she was genuinely unhappy to be there, but it created a noticeably negative atmosphere. The food came out just okay. The decor and color is very nice. I have only been here during brunch and need to try their dinner at some point.

Service was disappointing. It was slow inside and unsure why service was not attentive. We ordered sparkling water x3 times and finally got it. I also ordered a vanilla latte hot but it came in a glass. I was confused how do you pick this up without burning your hands?!

The carrot cake was very disappointing and nothing special for 7-8$. Not to mention the size is TINY! It's almost a mini muffin, barely.

Breakfast food was ok. The brekky muffuletta was ok and I would never ordered again. It is a little modified with bacon instead ham. The sauce was just so funky! It was like sour and tangy. Didn't think that paired well. My significant other said the breakfast burrito alright.
