The Baked Bear — Restaurant in Dania Beach

The heavy set man was SOOO rude & condescending who served us made me sick to my stomach. My wife & I came here for the first time to try this place out & this guy treated us like if he was extremely angry that we arrived at 10:25 pm on a Saturday night. I could understand if he was ready to clock out his shift, but it WAS NOT 11:00 pm and there was NO REASON at all to be rude and mean to us. We came very polite and excited and everything my wife asked, he got more and more angry. The way he spoke to my wife with this crappy attitude & angry facial expressions Enraged me!!! If it wasn’t for my wife wanting to try this Ice cream I would have walked right out the door and never given this place business. My advice is for the manager to really pay attention to who they hire for a “ice cream parlor”, I would assume they wouldn’t want some “tough guy” being rude to a happy couple on a date night and staring me hard in my eyes like if he wanted to attack me, as he knew I wasn’t happy with his terrible service. I didn’t say a word to him, I rather write this Google review so the happy couples here on date nights can avoid having their good energy ruined by this guy.

Ps: I tried to write this review yesterday at 10.30 p.m. on Saturday, but I made a mistake and ended up writing this same bad review under a different location, which was in Miami Beach, period. I must have been too frustrated that I didn't check the address, and I apologize for that misunderstanding. But that's how severe the situation was. My husband and I stopped by The Baked Bear in Dania Pointe today, and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, the aroma of fresh-baked cookies and creamy ice cream had us hooked. We decided to build our own ice cream sandwiches, and everything was so delicious – the cookies were warm and chewy, and the ice cream flavors were spot on.

What really made our visit special was Bella, one of the employees there. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and full of great recommendations.
