The only thing that this place has going for it is the old school burger joint look that they have going on outside. The inside is not as appealing, with the servers wearing scrub tops and sweatpants + the horrible lighting and dirty white walls it felt like I was grabbing food in a weird underground hospital cafeteria. We ended up paying $40 for 3 burgers, 2 sides of fries and 2 of their cooler drinks which seemed a little high since there’s a sign that says 5 hamburgers for $10. We stated 2/3 times that it was a to go order and we still had to correct the blonde lady making our burgers when she started putting our food on dine in plates. The young girl that took our order was very sweet and wrote everything on our ticket but again the lady actually making our food did not read it and instead asked us 3 different times what our order was and still proceeded to make it wrong - putting the wrong toppings on all the burgers. They also almost forgot one of fries and left them hanging above the fryer for forever and when we reminded them they just dunked them back in the oil to reheat them and they started cooking our bacon on the flat top and then for some reason decided to throw it in the deep fryer half way through. After all that we finally get home with the food and I get one bite of my burger before I found a long piece of blonde hair tangled in my burnt, dry bacon. Horrible place save your money and go to Wendy’s at least their burger patties...
Read moreI haven't eaten at Carter's hamburgers since November of 2019 when I was hit by drunk driver leaving me partially paralyzed walking to my Explorer. It isn't what I remembered but it was good food. I think it's been there for about seeing as a rolling Stones since I guess the beginning of time. Just kidding. The ladies are fantastic. They get things done as fast as they can. They have a restroom. It's not very handicap accessible. If you're in wheelchair or walker that's on the first floor in the parking small. The corner is busy but either like greasy hamburgers or you don't. If you do. Carter's is a great deal, but the ladies are second to none and the red velvet cake is homemade by Denise and oh man yummy! Okay one complaint of mine is the modern day jukebox. It's such a tiny place and if somebody doesn't agree with the music that you like, they're going to say something. But if they had a jukebox and if I had the money, I'd purchase one. I want an old 45 but your $0.50 in or quarter and watch the record get picked up and put on and play it that way. I don't want to hear digital content this kind of places. What remind you of what you would watch like on Happy Days with the roller skate servers in the parking lot and that kind of place deserves an original 45 pressed on wax...
Read more2/2025 - Dropped in for a late evening bite and I ordered three cheeseburgers. They were alright, but not what it used to be. The buns were dry or old. The prices have gone way up (like everywhere). I personally think they are okay for fries, onion rings, shakes/malts, and the like. I wouldn't say that burgers, meals, and combos are any value. The staff was friendly, and they are open 24 hours.
