Well, I was so looking forward to my first time at Anthony's. I consider myself as a professional pizza eater (lol) due to the fact that it's my favorite dish. I hate to write this review in which i very very seldomly so but my 1st experience wasn't as I expected. Sure enough we all make mistakes and perhaps this is what happened today. Understanding that they cook with a 900 degree temperature, I still dont think my pizza should have been this burnt. The charcoal edges and bottom was unbearable. It tasted as if I was truly eating a charcoal or ashes. The staff we very nice, hence why I'm giving the two stars. For $16, i would think it should taste better than a commercial chain. I'm not sure if this is how Anthony's usually taste so try it for yourself and maybe I will give it another chance. We're all entitled to grace! Update: I've given Anthony's another chance and my pizza was better than my 1st experience. Honestly, it wasn't bad but not the best so be your own judge. The staff members are very kind so give it a chance to formulate your own opinion.

Good Ole Anthony's, been going for over 20 years, even met Anthony's wife at the original Fort Lauderdale location. Just got a small sausage pizza and so glad they still use real sausage (fresh, ground, not the awful gray slices now so common, even in quality places). Love the dollops of the tasty sauce (those Italian tomatoes... tho they seemed a little less flavorful, though still nice). Anthony's was one of the early coal-fired, 900-degree pizza makers outside of New York. Now many places cook "well done" pizza at high heat. My pizza was delish, waitress nice, atmosphere pleasing. (Now until end of sept. A discount due to their winning the Newsweek "best chain pizza" award... you must ask for it)... all in all, despite complaints of diminished quality due to changes in ownership in recent years, their pizza is still quite good...and they offer a full menu of other tasty items. (I wish they had a small side salad...the regular salad in 10 bucks... )

There are so many happy hours in delray, and we were so happy to finally try Anthony's. Our bartenders were Lauren and Brittany, and they were so nice and informative and a joy behind the bar to interact with! We ordered all 3 of the happy hour specials, which were the garlic knots (5 in order), meatballs (2 in order), and the coal fired wings (5). In addition, we ordered Anthony's chopped salad, which was absolutely delicious, complimented on our other items! We even made little meatballs sliders out of the meatballs and garlic knots, and they give you a little jar of Parmesan cheese that's freshly shredded so you can add whatever you like without having to bug someone to get more! We love that! Beer and cocktails are $2 off normal prices. We have now added Anthony's to one of our favorite happy hour spots in Delray!

FOLLOW UP In response to the owner's request, I sent my contact information to the specified email address. As expected, there has been no subsequent contact. Their respose to my review was pure window dressing On Friday evening, our party of 10 went to the Anthony’s in Delray Beach. We called ahead to be placed on the wait list and were told it could be a 30-to-45-minute wait. It took less than 10 minutes to get there, and we were seated immediately. When our server was finally able to get to us, we ordered drinks, salads, and wings. The manager then came over to us and asked if we could move as, even though Anthony’s does not accept reservations, the table had been committed to another party. He indicated that as soon as two other tables were cleared, they would be put together to accommodate us. In exchange for agreeing to move, he would give us a complimentary dessert tray. Our drinks and appetizers were served and, while we were eating appetizers, the manager reappeared and said our other table was ready. We then picked up our food, drinks, plates, and utensils and relocated to our new table. One member of our party then received a seltzer, took a sip, and pulled a hair from her mouth. She insisted that we not make a big deal of it, so we went on with our meal. We enjoyed our pizza and finished our meal. The manager was nowhere to be seen and we were not going to ask for a dessert that was committed to by management. We paid our bill and were about to leave when the manager appeared and said he would get us our dessert. For our party of 10, the “generous” complimentary dessert consisted of one piece of chocolate cake, one piece of cheesecake and three mini-cannoli. When the same guest that got the earlier hair put her fork in the chocolate cake, she came up with a piece with a long hair hanging from it. That was the end. I took the hair and the plate with the cake and handed the hair to the manager followed by the cake, said nothing, and walked out. In addition to the above, the service was totally unacceptable. Slow and unprofessional was the best way to summarize it. From the time the first drinks, salads and wings were placed on the table not one glass, dirty plate, empty serving plate or pizza tray was removed from the table. We have always enjoyed our previous visits to this Anthony’s location, but it seems like something has changed, as evidenced by the above incidents. This visit was the worst Anthony’s experience I have ever had at any location and will, likely, be my last visit to the...

Anyhonys: An authentic taste of Italy, with a fiery heart The service is as exceptional as the food. Our servers, Abby and Estee, were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. They guided us through the options with excellent recommendations and ensured our experience was nothing short of perfect.

From the moment you step through the door, you are transported. The warm, inviting ambiance is the first thing that greets you, a cozy but lively atmosphere filled with the low hum of conversation and the mouth-watering aroma of garlic, bubbling cheese, and smoky, charred crust. The centerpiece of the room is, without a doubt, the magnificent coal-fired oven—a relic of Italian tradition that serves as a beacon for every pizza lover who walks through the door.

The high-temperature anthracite coal oven is not just for show; it's the secret to the pizza's perfection. The intense, even heat—reaching up to 1,000°F—cooks each pie in just a few minutes, resulting in a crust that is perfectly crisp and flaky on the outside while remaining tender and chewy inside. This process creates the signature char and characteristic blisters on the crust that are a telltale sign of a truly authentic coal-fired pie.

The flavor of the pizza is a symphony of simple, high-quality ingredients. The fresh, hand-crushed Italian plum tomato sauce is bright and tangy, never overpowering the other toppings. The cheese—a perfect blend of melted, milky mozzarella and grated romano—is rich without being greasy. Each bite delivered a perfect balance of smoky flavor from the char and the fresh, vibrant taste of the high-quality ingredients. My dad said "the plumpest coal-fired chicken wings I've ever had, perfectly seasoned with caramelized onions and rosemary", "the eggplant Marino, thinly sliced and layered in a perfect Italian plum tomato sauce with hand-grated Romano".

For a taste of authentic Italian coal-fired pizza that honors tradition and exceeds all expectations, look no further than Anyhonys. It’s more than just a meal; it's a celebration of exceptional cuisine, and I can't wait to return for...

My husband spent $700 on dinner for us and a group of our friends last weekend for my birthday. For what we spent, I must say they really dropped the ball.

I booked the table for our group of 13 people (we actually ended up being 15 I think) five days in advance. The manager even called me the day-of to confirm. I told him we would like to have Prosecco on the table for each guest prior to their arrival and that we would arrive early to choose the items we wanted to order for our group.

We arrived a little early and were immediately informed that our table was not ready yet as they were waiting for a table to get up to. This was mistake number one. They knew five days in advance and again confirmed the day-of, and still sat a table in the area where they anticipated seating a large group? The table they were waiting on was a party of two couples that were done eating but still chatting. A simple solution would have been for the manager to politely say to them “I see you are done with your dinner but still chatting. Could we move you to a different table and we will buy you a round of drinks?”

In retro-spect, when they didn’t do this, I should have done it myself.

Instead, my friends all arrived and there weren’t enough spots for everyone. The two couples that were seated at the table we were waiting for gave us dirty looks as if we were taking over their area and then MY FRIENDS had to pull the dirty table over to join us.

First impressions are lasting impressions. These mistakes were not only avoidable, but there were simple solutions available as well. We were never even offered an apology.

I must say, the food was great and the rest of the night was fine. I’m sure we were the highest check in restaurant that night - but we were not treated that way.

Update: The manager called to...
