When I saw the 4.8 star average rating I was really excited to try this place. Thai Pot Cafe is my favorite spot but I try to go to every Thai place I can. This is not a traditional sit-down restaurant, you can order at your table but there’s a main counter with a lit menu behind it and there was a line so we just ordered there, sort of like any generic fast food place. We ordered pad Thai, egg rolls, crab rangoon, and tom kha soup. Sadly they do not have chicken satay on the menu. I ordered the Pad Thai double Thai hot (in Thai, so they would take me seriously). They brought the food to our little table- they have a few tables inside if you want to dine in. The crab rangoon was mediocre but it’s not a traditional Thai food so I never knock Thai restaurants for that. The egg rolls were pretty good, again not the focus of a Thai food review. On to the important part: the pad Thai was truly horrendous. It tasted so BURNT we only had more than one bite trying to figure out WHY. The chicken seemed a little seared so I expect the wok was too hot and they put the sauce in too early, but it almost had a smoky burnt taste so I wonder if their pad Thai sauce is just smoky/burnt tasting in general. The heat level was very weird, it was nowhere near Thai hot let alone double Thai hot, but it had a sort of delayed heat that you could feel but not taste. This leads me to believe they don’t heat their dishes up using traditional Thai chilis but some sort of extract or other pepper powder. The saving grace here was the Tom Kha soup. I’d give it a solid 4/5. It lacked the kaffir lime leaves or galangal root, and also had no onions (in Thailand it often has green onion or even regular onions), but the broth was delicious. I couldn’t bring myself to spend another $17 to try the pad Thai again only to find it actually just has a burnt taste due to their sauce and not due to an error while they were cooking it. Overall very few of the staff spoke Thai so you shouldn’t expect it to be authentic, it’s a counter serve type place, and the pad Thai was disgusting. I will probably will never go back unless I’m just nearby and craving decent tom kha gai.

Oh man this place was so delicious i can not wait to come back! We had the pot stickers, khao soi, and the mango sticky rice. Pot stickers were great very flavorful, loved that they give you a saracha package with it, the dipping sauce was also nice. The Khao Soi!!!! Oh man this is buy far the star and what made the meal 10/10 for me! If you come here you have to try this it’s chicken curry with noodles and it’s everything! They give you a side of spicy chile sauce that you can add to your liking, a ball of additional fried noodles, and bit of pickled vegetables you could also add. This curry is flavored to perfection so creamy, the chicken meat falls off the bone, and the noodles just go so well with it! I could literally bathe in this sauce i couldn’t get enough. I could literally eat this everyday. We got an order of mango sticky rice to go and when i first looked at it i was concerned that it was a little to soupy and liquidy compared to the mango sticky rice i have had in the past, but i was so wrong the sauce was so delicious and i was so happy i had extra! This place does not mess around with their food everything was so amazing! No wonder they were featured on food network! I haven’t seen what show they were in but man this is one of those places that gives you so much joy when you eat here i can’t wait to come back definitely going to be one of my regular spot i visit!

We usually do take out and decided to dine in tonight! We showed up by like 6:45pm, i understand it’s a busy time! It’s always busy there so be ready to wait even for take out.. We were waiting online for quite some time, the person who seemed to be the manager asked if we were here to dine in! We said yes! And there was only one table left outside and the couple behind us RAN to that table! While the waiter just asked us if we were here to dine in! I don’t know who to blame? The boss or the rude people? I wish the owner stepped in and told the people that we said we were here to dine in! How are we supposed to know we can go sit on our own and not be seated?!! Anyways, they offered to open the window for us which was nice I guess - but like give us a 5% discount or a free beer (that would make up for the mistake)… I left for the bathroom and when I got back to the table, my husband told me the manager came to see him to chat about what happened. The issue happened with me but I guess men can’t talk to women these days… Kinda ruined the night for us.. also you have to do everything yourself.. it’s like mcdonadls with higher prices..and better food BUT even though the food is good you better have some toilet next to you - each time we eat there my husband and I feel sick! I hope they can improve their service, maybe hire couple people, serve your clients, get a...
