The cashier and staff were excellent. Food was tasty too. Just what I needed.
This 2 star review is for the lack of seating and the guy I can only assume is the manager. Middle aged, balding, Caucasian, black polo, and what appeared to be an ego the size of Mt Evans.
This was my first time visiting this location. Needed a bite to eat before a Dr appointment.
As I entered building, the lack of seating was a big surprise. I had hoped to come in. And enjoy a bite to eat before heading out.
As I waited in the short line, this guy was over at the coffee area, and he apparently had a customer's order wrong. He barked back at this older woman, asking her some questions about her drinks. Another worker on the other side of the kitchen must have known some details, cause it seemed like they spoke slightly louder to help out in the confusion.
As I got my coffee, I heard this guy call over this young girl and quietly scold her for speaking up to him. I couldn't make out everything, but I heard him say something like, "Don't shout at me in front of the customers."
What an fragile ego. Must be a nightmare to work for. I'm surprised the service is as good as it is if that's the attitude he brings to work leading the team.
And because there's no seating inside, I had to take my bagel out to the curb to eat it. Not the end of the world, but inconvenient.
I had parked my scooter near the railing so that I had a place to lock it up while I went inside. I was sitting across the parking lot eating so as to not be in the way if other customers, and that same guy comes out of the door on his phone looking at my bike like he was going gto report it. He saw me and pointed at the bike. I nodded, still chewing a bite of my sandwich.
To his credit, he didn't make a stink about the bike, but it added to the overall attitude he was expressing inside.
Leave that attitude and pride at the...
Read moreI hate this place with all of my heart and soul.
Here's why.
Every single morning for 11 years - from 2010-2021, my husband and I walked to the Starbucks next door for an Americano.
That walk was the highlight of our day. It got us fresh air, sunshine, with our busy lives it was often the only time we got to have a quality conversation.
The staff at that Starbucks was unlike any other group of people I ever met. They were kind, thoughtful, and they were truly a team. I didn't even like Starbucks until I stumbled upon this location - the staff here was so amazing, they kept me coming back every day for 11 years.
The only downside was this Einstein location next door. There was a weird vibe with Einstein. They would frequently stand outside and try to stop us from going into Starbucks saying "Einstein Americanos are just as good." I would always decline and tell them I won't get my coffee from Einstein and I won't get my bagels from Starbucks.
Then I found out that Starbucks actually rented the space from Einstein. I learned that Einstein wouldn't let Starbucks display menu items up that were similar to Einstein menu items.
Finally in 2021, Einstein raised the rent so high that Starbucks decided it wasn't worth it to stay. It closed, all the amazing workers were scattered across the city in different locations, and my husband and I had to stop our morning walks. This was 3 years ago, and I am still upset about it. Every time I pass the location, I get a twinge of sadness for what once was.
The thing that gets me is that there was no need for Einstein to feel like this was a competition. Why didn't they partner with Starbucks instead of driving them away? I would much prefer an Einstein bagel than a Starbucks bagel. But now I vow to never eat an Einstein bagel ever again. I don't care if it's from this location, another location, or if it's...
Read moreYour Service is Ghastly. A few times a month I visit your establishment and order a Spinach and Bacon Panini. Every time I order it, your staff gets it wrong.
Main issue, round egg and rectangular Panini bread doesn’t work. Round eggs go on round bagels, rectangular eggs go on rectangular Panini bread.
Your associate brought me my Panini with a dissected round egg which was elaborately placed about the bread. Because it was a round egg, it did not fill the rectangular bread. I pointed out to your associate my concerns and asked him to remake it. He did, I received the same egg on a smaller Panini. I should have ordered a bagel sandwich; it is the same food for less money.
Your company has stopped using rectangular eggs for Panini’s yet, the price is still the same. Why are you trying to fleece me?
Last time your associate “forgot” the full order of the customer ahead of me, to which she had no food to eat with her husband. When she brought it to your staffs’ attention they seemed very laissez faire. In addition, they spelled and pronounced her name wrong; spelled and pronounced my name wrong; spelled and pronounced, yes you guessed it, the wrong name of the customer behind me. The four of them then had an open debate on if Michael was pronounced Michelle.
Today is the last time I will come to any of your stores. While waiting forever for my Panini and receiving the wrong one altogether (which by the way was tiny with a round egg) I decided to look up other bagel shops and found Moe’s bagels in Denver. I had your clerk refund my order and I went there. It was amazing! That will be my new bagel place.
Good luck with the fleecing of...
