In a sea of overly pretentious bars in Lower Downtown (LoDo) Denver that try to be something they aren’t or will never become, Ice House stands relatively alone as knowing and being what it is… A Neighborhood Bar… with great prices, food and the most welcoming atmosphere in the area.

The service is great, with most of the staff being long tenured and further cultivating the notion of a neighborhood bar, where you’re met with not only a friendly face, but also a friend. Nick, Victoria , Adam, Martin, Erin, Kevin and Ashley, plus so many others are what truly make this place special and remaining the place for those that truly appreciate the fact that there is a “ Cheer’s” bar at sheer doorsteps from both Union Station and Coor’s Feild.

The food is great… the pizza is top notch and formally staid bar food is made a bit more interesting with the unique options - like cream cheese on a BBQ pizza - that work exceptionally.

The patio is amazing and the interior, while bemoaning “neighborhood bar” is not only inviting, with a huge circular bar that invites interaction and conversation, is exactly what it needs to be… open, spacious, and fun (pool table, Golden Tee and other social gaming devices). It shouldn’t be anything else!!!

If you’re looking for a fun, chill place that has great staff, great food and where you may just find yourself looking for a “home base” with interesting people, and and even more exceptional staff, you’d be hard pressed to find anything better than the Ice...

So i want to start off we were fortunate this was the only place open that sold food at midnight when we arrived in Denver from a delayed flight. Other than that being our first place we went to in Denver beside the Airport this place was very disappointing. extremely loud inside ( i get it its a bar ) felt run down and dirty, saw they only served "snack food" for late night which was great because me and my wife wanted to be in and out with food and go back to our hotel. We ordered at the bar was given a buzzer and sat down. after 15 min i wondered if anyone was working the kitchen... i saw what looked like boxed up food in the kitchen ready to go so i thought there must being people working back there. 10 more minutes go by, no food, no buzzing and i looked back at the kitchen again and that same food boxes were there. thinking maybe they are empty and the kitchen workers weren't really working. i get to the 30 min mark of waiting for Pretzels an garlic bread, i mean cmon quick bites. i went up to the bar and said can we get our food?? Then the bartender went back and grabbed that SAME boxes of food i stared at for 15 min thinking its not ours.... Thanks for a poor first impression of Denver for us... Sorry we didn't order alcohol like everyone else there but we were just hungry after a long...

I want to like this place but the service makes that impossible. Normally the food is great, imo a great value for the location, but I have yet to be here when service is even “average”. The service is so incompetent that they drive away the locals who would normally show up here. Unfortunately, today the food was even below par. Today I ordered a pizza that was completely under cooked and never once saw the server. Keep in mind there are four servers and roughly 6 people at the bar at this point. If you are the owner you are missing out on revenue because these bartenders are slow and inefficient. They are also totally unengaged. You are doing yourself a disservice by having these people ruin this bars good name.

I personally won’t be back. Been coming here for years but can no longer tolerate it taking 30+ minutes to even get acknowledged at the bar and it’s been like that nearly every time! Even. Is been sitting at the bar for the last 30 minutes without even an...

Great place near the ball park and actually fairly cheap in prices. Expected our bill to be more but didn't realize the 🍺 are cheap, that's a good thing. It feels like a dive bar when you enter, and is dark. I've always walked past this place in the past, since we visit so many other bars that are better near the ⚾ park. The service is somewhat slow unfortunately, but not terrible. It took about 5-7mins to be acknowledged by any of the bartenders after taking a seat at the bar, and that feels like a long time when the bar isn't packed, and you want a drink. Same thing for trying to close your bill in the end and trying to get their attention is a bit of a hassle. (Hence the 4 stars) Other than that it was a fine place and we may be back.

Small sports bar which is a bit dark but that doesn't bother me. There's also some outdoor seating available. The location is awesome and the drinks are cheap. I see absolutely no reason not to go back unless I'm looking to take advantage of a sunny day. I kind of wish there was more natural light coming through. Service was professional and social distancing is enforced which is great to see. I ordered a Mexican Lager which came with a shot of tequila for just over $4! To be fair that was on happy hour which ended at 6pm. I'll likely return on a not so sunny day to take advantage of the cheap drinks.

We only had a beers so I am not sure of the food. I had the tangerine cream. I was very surprised that I liked it. It was creamy with a hint of tangerine. Ask for a sample and tell me what you think. Sergio had Breckinridge avalanche Amber. He said it was crispy and lights good. It was a good intro beer give it a try.
