One star only because I can't do zero stars. Third time since covid I have had issues with the store and orders. Used the android app to order, for curbside pickup. App said 30 minutes. I got there about 7 minutes early. Checked in with the app. The app told me I was early but they were hard at work getting my order ready. I waited. And I waited. And I waited. I noticed a large bad, large enough to accommodate an order my size just sitting on the rack. Had been sitting there for some time. 10 minutes past the time I was supposed to pick up, I called. I was told they had no order for me and they hung up. I went into the store and asked where my order was. I was angry and hungry with a hungry family waiting for me at home. I said a couple of choice words out of anger. I took my bag to my car, opened it and noticed that the drinks and chips were missing. I went back in and was confronted by the manager(?) who jumped me for swearing at her employee, which just made me even angrier. I asked where the rest of my order was. She said it was complete. But looked at the receipt and realized she had forgotten the drinks. She pulled them to put them in the bag and got the wrong ones. She asked me not to return to her store, and I told her (with more choice words) that that was something she did not have to worry about. Several times my order has been wrong or missing items. Read moreI generally love jersey mike’s and their subs. That being said, this one always manages to give me problems. I always have the same simple order. They’re either extremely stingy with the condiments, or better yet, when I call them to ask for a little extra to avoid them being stingy they decide to be smart and put an inch thick layer on the sandwich. I worked at a sub shop as my first job not that long ago. It’s not hard to put a reasonable amount on it without having to be asked. Most recently, I ordered through DoorDash, and they stuck my receipt on another person’s order. I’d also mention it was about half an hour before close when it was delivered so DoorDash couldn’t help fix it. After paying premium pricing for delivery, I had to drive all the way down there. As I’m grabbing my correct food, and I’m walking out, one of the workers said under their breath “well at least you got some free stuff out of the other order”. Believe it or not, I don’t want “free stuff”. I wanted what I paid for the first time! I’m sure the other customer that I got their food wished for the same thing! Absolutely ridiculous. I could add more subtle details but I think my review was long enough. If you value customer service then you need to demote the guy that was described in my description, i bet he is a shuft leader or closing manager as they usually don't want to serve customers.
**I came in today and havent eaten at a Jersey Mikes in like 4-5 years. There was a dark curly ponytailed man with a medium complexion behind the counter that was very unresponsive and had a very "cold demeanor" on my initial request of ordering food. He had this like glazed over stare/ stink eye. Maybe he's working a lot of hours? I don't know, but it wasnt even a light/medium warm professional interaction. I personally like modest greetings without smarmy smiles, but this felt odd.
There was a woman who then co-listened and made the order, and then served my food who was really pleasant. You're lucky to have her in your restaurant.
