We arrived at Nallen's Irish Pub, on a Wednesday evening, and it quickly became clear that this is one of the best-kept secrets in downtown Denver. Out of all the bars we’ve visited in the area, Nallen's stands out as the most authentic, laid-back spot, free from the overly flashy vibe you find at many other downtown establishments.

The atmosphere here is unbeatable. With a classic bar to belly up to, multiple TVs, a large projector, and even a jukebox, this place oozes character and charm. Sean, our bartender, elevated the experience even further. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly quick with our drinks. His great attitude made us feel welcomed and added to the overall vibe of the place. The drink specials were the icing on the cake—amazingly priced and offering great value compared to other downtown options.

So I usually go in on most weekends, Thursday, Friday and definitely Saturday. I think thats going to stop only because the last several times my friends and I have been in there, we've been treated like we don't matter AT ALL. It came as such a disappointment because prior to this one person working there it was always a good time in there no matter who was working. I've been coming to nallens for 5+ years and my husband has been going there for a decade! The last straw was when "Bill" scoffed at me for thinking I could kindly ask this man to help me bring the plethora of shots id just spent my money on, outside. Then acted like I was inconveniencing him when he was on his phone! Bathrooms were gross and poor mellow was trying to keep up w dishes and orders once it got busy and this man was openly gossiping instead of working and I watched him be rude to several other people too 😡 I really love this place and enjoy the atmosphere... When Bill isn't there. Otherwise I feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, I know for a fact several of my friends feel the same. I will not be coming back while this rude shameless "bartender" is working there. He has repeatedly made me and my friends feel like we don't matter. On top of just being lazy and and rude. I hate that he's representing...

John is a %@!# legend. . .and his staff over the past 27 years i have hung out here are still checking in even with the 15 hour flight to the old country. Theres themed park bars- not holding any punches. . you know who they are. . and there is John Nallen and Noel Hickey's horse culture friendly derby institution "Celtic" across the street. . .if its a work holiday and you haven't had at least three pints in both of them. . . and maybe another at the Rhienland in between (a really big one) then your wrong. . . . hope a smile finds your face as john and noel have...
