Worst service I have experienced in Denver!! Our waitress was unfriendly and only came to our table twice in the two hours we were sitting there for. We were in a corner table and she clearly was just not paying attention to our table. She also took away my unfinished shot without even asking. We were trying to get her attention to pay her bill and she didn't even look in our direction for the 15 minutes we were trying. I had to stand up to get her attention (was wearing a mask) and she LITERALLY grabbed the bar sign that said "do not approach the bar" and shoved it into my face, almost hitting me with it. She could have said "I'll be there in a minute" - YES, I could read the signs on the bar but she clearly was not paying any attention to our table as we had been trying to get her attention for a long time with no avail. She came over to our table a minute later, brought us the check, and overheard us talking about not giving her a great tip because of the terrible service. She then TURNS AROUND AND STARTS YELLING AT ME about the fact that we weren't going to tip her well (after the service she gave, was she really surprised?). The funny thing is we were going to give her a couple dollars, until she yelled at me. I work in customer service and was shocked at how unprofessional this woman was, especially considering she was older. I will not be returning to this bar, I can't believe that their employees behave like this. Extremely unprofessional and just...
Read moreUpdate: Website menu is completely incorrect Happy hour is from 3 to 5 while the website lists that it is until 6pm for drinks and until 7pm for food. So for example, online it said was $6 for a double well drink but when I got there today (3/10/23) it was about $9.50. Really seems like false advertisement to me. There was no mention that the website was incorrect until the food came as menus weren't passed to me until it was from another patron. Service was also not the best today, trying to flag down 1 of the 5-6 bartenders was ridiculous, I sat without a drink for over 15 mins.
Previously, I thought Society was a one of a kind bar in its location, I think that it is mostly due to its employees. Great drinks and lots if TVs make this a place you can sit and chill at for a long while. At first it was kind of weird having to get water but I actually liked being able to get up and move around as opposed to just sitting in one spot the whole time. As far as the menu, so far I can only speak to the wings and they were really good! I also want to note that the bathrooms were clean and I think this place is pet friendly, there was a lady with her dog sitting below her at the bar and he did tricks, which was fun to watch. Overall, great place and they let me watch American dad on the TV in front of me since it wasn't...
Read moreI don't go to bars, and I'm not typically very social but I found myself having a great time here. Came in an hour before the state mandated "last call" We sat at a table that was clean and spaced away from other people. We ordered a few shots and beers from the friendly bar tender and watched the Avalance game.
It was nice, but, the best part was that the bartender sat with us. He kept our cups full and provided nice conversation. I don't usually carry on with strangers but this was an extraordinary human connection in some really dark and uncertain times.
As the conversation went, I came to realize this gentleman was not a bartender. He was the owner. Im a very simple man with literally nothing, and this dude came over and made me feel warm and welcome in HIS establishment. This dude was so humble and easy going, I walked up to the bar at one point and asked the actual bartender if I could talk to the manager. "The owner is sitting at your table." Made my night.
All in all. Great clean place. Even if you are corona scared you can go in here and feel safe and welcome. Thanks for a...
