Mario’s Speakeasy Pizza: Where Midnight Dreams Meet Molten Gold ★★★★★
In the barren landscape of this sleeping city, where neon signs flicker their last gasps and hunger prowls the empty streets like a restless phantom, there exists an oasis—a sanctuary wrapped in shadow and warmth, where the alchemy of flour, fire, and passion transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Mario’s Speakeasy Pizza stands as a beacon in the night’s desolation, a defiant flame against the tyranny of closed kitchens and darkened windows. In a metropolis that surrenders to slumber while stomachs still cry out for sustenance, this hidden gem could have simply existed—a mere refuge for the desperate and famished. But Mario’s does not merely exist; it thrives, it conquers, it transcends.
Here, in these hallowed halls where whispered conversations mingle with the symphony of bubbling cheese, excellence is not an accident but an art form. Each pizza emerges from the oven like a masterpiece painted in crimson sauce and golden crust, a testament to craftsmanship that needs no audience, yet gifts itself freely to the wandering souls of the night.
The crust—oh, that magnificent foundation—speaks in tongues of tradition and innovation. Crisp yet yielding, it cradles its treasures with the tenderness of a lover’s embrace. The sauce, bright and bold, cuts through the darkness with its tangy proclamation of summer tomatoes and secret spices. And the cheese, that molten crown of glory, stretches like liquid moonbeams across the canvas of perfection.
But beyond the technical mastery lies something more profound: the soul of hospitality that beats within these walls. In a city that has forgotten the meaning of sanctuary, Mario’s remembers. When the world sleeps and hunger haunts, they stand sentinel, guardians of both flavor and comfort.
They could have coasted on convenience, rested on the laurel of being the only light in the darkness. Instead, they chose excellence as their north star, crafting each pie as if it were their first, their last, their only chance to prove that beauty can bloom even in the desert of late-night dining.
Mario’s Speakeasy Pizza is more than a restaurant—it is poetry written in pepperoni, a love letter to the lonely hours, a promise that even when the city sleeps, passion never rests.

Read moreSo it was late at night when me and two others decided that we were hungry. We decided to walk from where we were staying to the location. This pizza joint is, quite literally, a hole in the wall. We went into what is a bar and at the very back of the bar is the pizza place. As soon as we got close, we could smell the pizza. After much deliberation, we decided to go with the Sicilian meat lovers pizza and some garlic knots. I'll tell you, the $30 price on the pizza is absolutely worth it. The pizza is MASSIVE. It is a 20" pizza, so you get a lot for the price. The crust is perfectly seasoned and cooked. The sauce used on the pizza is amazing and is perfectly complimented by the toppings on the pizza. The garlic knots are also massive. An order of them gives you five absolute units of knots, and each order also gets you two cups of marinara. They tasted amazing. I would definitely recommend this place for anybody...
Read moreThis was such a fun place to go to. It is like a speakeasy; you walk towards the back/kitchen and order at a window there. We didn't love waiting in the long line to order so don't go at peak dinner times. There's not a ton of places to sit so consider take out if you can. But the pizza was super good! I got a slice of the 3-meats and a slice of chicken bacon ranch. My favorite was the 3-meats. My husband got chicken bacon ranch, buffalo chicken, and pepperoni. His favorite was the buffalo chicken. We'd come here again!
I probably would have given 5 stars but the bathroom was kinda gross. The floor had gross pennies glued to the ground rather than tile in some places. My stall didnt have the ability to close. They should remodel...
