Came here with my wife, 3mo. old baby and a friend arriving right at about 6:02pm. It was cold and snowy out so my wife and baby waited in the car while I parked across the street and ran inside to ask if they had a wait. The girl said there was no wait so we all went inside to get seated. As the guy bringing us to our table grabbed the menus and said “right this way”, a reservation for 6 people came in. He said he had to sit then first instead because of there reservation. No problem, simple mistake but they knew they messed up. So we posted up at the high top table while we waited. Knowing they made the mistake, Mr. nice and accountable Tony (as you can see from other reviews) came over and offered us FREE drinks and made sure to specify that they were FREE which is why we were happy to accept them. We ended up waiting for an hour. Waiting that long was not ideal considering the baby’s bedtime is at 8pm, however, we were in great spirits and very understanding given the circumstances. Not to mention, my wife and I both worked in the service industry for many years so we are very patient with these things. About 40 minutes into our wait, the baby had a blowout so I took him to the bathroom to change him (no changing table unfortunately). While my wife and our friend were waiting, Tony asked my friend “Would you like another free drink?” He happily obliged and got a class of wine. 20 minutes later we were seated. Great! Let’s continue this good experience. We ordered 2 salads, 3 entrees, a bottle of wine and even ordered 2 desserts. The waitress who was great and very friendly, brought us our check. It included all 4 “free” drinks that Tony offered us. I explained the situation to her so she went and spoke with Tony, Tony claimed only the dessert was free. The waitress felt bad so she took 2 glasses of wine off the bill. I went and mentioned it to Tony myself to see if he’d lie to my face and sure enough he was in complete denial that he ever mentioned the drinks were free. Low class move Mr. Italian. 3 memories against 1? You’re in the wrong.
To be completely honest (unlike Tony), the food was great and we had a wonderful time before getting the bill. We are never the ones to expect a free handout due to an inconvenience. People make mistakes and life happens. But don’t offer something FREE and mention the word FREE more than once, just to get us to stay, only to completely deny saying you ever offered us free drinks. Funny thing is, we came here thinking it was a different restaurant to begin with! Don’t worry, we won’t be...
Read moreHey Tony.. It got me thinking, what other delightful surprises have you graced your customers with over the years? I can't possibly be the only lucky one to experience your distinctive approach to customer service. Perhaps you'd be kind enough to share your other inventive techniques for ensuring customer satisfaction? And speaking of satisfaction, I can't help but wonder about your staff's experiences working under your guidance. If this is how you treat a patron, it makes one ponder what life is like behind the kitchen doors. What kind of a man are you, indeed?I'm genuinely curious to understand the mind behind these enigmatic endeavors. Would you be open to a face-to-face meeting, Tony P? It's about time we unravel the mysteries of your culinary empire. If you remember, Tiny P, your female accountant confirmed to me that the deposit from that evening included my paycheck from Rocky Mountain Prestress Concrete. Alternatively, maybe you did receive a substantial catering order from the concrete plant and were confused about payment? I won't easily forget this theft. I have a strong aversion to anyone taking what's rightfully mine. Very Sincerly
My most disappointing restaurant experience ever. The food was mediocre, to be generous. My wife accidentally left my paycheck on the table (it wasn't a check from Tony's; I earned it elsewhere). When I called to inquire if they found it, they claimed they hadn't. In reality, they had it and included it in their deposits, likely by exchanging it for cash.
What made this even worse was when I confronted the restaurant owner, he accused me of conspiring with his dishonest staff to steal from him, as if I had some premeditated plan with people I didn't even know. It was utterly incredulous. Tony P, I'll never forget how you treated me that day. I was struggling to make ends meet, and you withheld my paycheck. It...
Read moreHaving passed by Tony P's.many, many times, I've finally decided to stop in and sample their cuisine. I was disappointed that the person who sat me, did not ask if I wanted a booth or a table. Usually that choice is always given when I enter a restaurant. This time it was not. I do prefer a booth rather than a table, usually one in a corner of the restaurant, away from other diners.
I was directed by the person who sat me to use the QR code on the paper menu that was provided. Looking over the menu the print on the other side was impossible to read, even with my glasses. Perhaps a note to the restaurant owner that senior citizens sometimes have difficulty reading smaller print. Large print menus are always a blessing, as we seniors sometimes have difficulty reading things in small print, on our smartphones, also.
The calzone I ordered was tasty and filling, and I appreciated being offered the bread and sauce as a pre-meal appetizer when I ordered my drinks. I was not offered a refill on my soft drink, though. The price was extremely reasonable for the amount of food ordered. And I left a generous tip for the server. The server came by several times to check on me, which I appreciated.
The location, being in a business and residential neighborhood, sometimes leaves parking to be less than ideal on the street, as there is no off street parking or parking lot, nearby. I parked a short distance away from the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised to find a space open.
I will be returning to this restaurant in the near future, and may bring friends with me, next time I visit the neighborhood. Thank you, Tony P's, for a pleasant...
