Tonight my son and I went out for dinner to Mexican which is a normal thing for us. I am new to Destin so we were looking for something like back home in Atlanta. There's Mexican everywhere. This was a little different. A little higher priced than regular Mexican restaurant so I thought that the whole experience would be worth the price. Definitely not. They didn't have enough servers to accommodate the entire restaurant. I barely saw my server the entire time I was there. We did not get utensils to eat. No napkins. The food was good, but no better than the rest of the chains. However very disappointing considering I paid $25 for a quesadilla that was the size of the saucer. I'm surprised they couldn't spare a little more tortilla on the large size to accommodate the price. My drink was a Texas Margarita 18 oz of which I paid $17 for one drink and it was in a regular glass LOL. You could have at least made it fancy. In total with appetizer My son got a chimichanga and with my quesadilla and one drink I paid $100.... That's shocking. I'm not cheap. I'm frugal, this was outrageous for just us two at a mediocre Mexican restaurant. It should not have cost us more than $60 to have dinner with one Margarita. Y'all really have to do better. Keep your prices but do something with your dishes. Make sure the food is of proportion to be charging that price. Make sure your servers are checking on...
Read moreThis place was not good at all. The food was majorly expensive and coming from a Mexican it was not authentic AT ALL. This was very very American. My brother got 1 tamal to try and I don't even see how they could possibly call that a tamal. The meat wasn't even inside of the masa and was not cooked in any type of sauce. It was honestly disrespectful at that point. They give you a big ol plate of grass on the other meals. Me and my boyfriend got fresh catch and I got tequila lime shrimps and the fish was not seasoned at all it was so plain and there was more salad on the plate then fish or shrimp . The server told me they only had black beans and when the food came out later they gave my mom and dad pinto beans. My sister ordered nachos and they were burnt. The drinks were okay I can't complain too much but my boyfriend and dad ordered two margaritas one pineapple one mango habanero and they brought both out as mango habaneros. Our bill was +$300 and honestly that food shouldn't have been more than $150 how poop it was . I would never go there again they don't even play any Spanish music all the decorations are really weird too. I did post...
Read moreFirst thing I want to start off saying is that we are from Texas. This is not Authentic Mexican food. I don’t even know where to begin. The chips and salsa we received tasted like Pace Picante sauce straight from the jar, was cold.. and the green sauce, I don’t even want to get started on the green sauce. Queso was outrageously expensive at $10 for maybe a little side bowl. Next thing I thought was, “maybe, I’m judging this place to harshly on there salsa, so let’s order an enchilada plate, you can always tell a good Mexican restraunt by their enchiladas!” All I’m saying was, that just wasn’t it lol. Any other review on her that says they are from Texas and thought it was Authentic, doesn’t live within 50 miles of I-10 or south of it for that matter, probably from up north somewhere. I will say, it was a beautiful place, service was ok, drinks were good. But food was on the down side, therefore I give my two star rating. We kinda knew what we were walking into, but did not expect it to be this far from our...
