We really enjoyed our dinner! We were seated immediately (before 7 pm) table for 2. Super fun decor. Lots to look at. I look forward to a return trip and a chance to see more.. We ordered queso (my kiddo's favorite) it was good, a blanco without a lot of kick but good texture, not stringy. Followed by a chimi and a Cozumel my kiddo (19) was able to finish the entree but not the sides, they gave me a bite very good, not over fried and the filling was very tasty. My combo was fantastic! Unfortunately I can only speak to the chicken enchilada (woohoo) and chili relleno as I came no where near finishing this dish! It was terrific. And they subbed a chicken enchilada for the spinach as I don't do cooked spinach. I also ordered the ranch water, I've had this in TX and really enjoy it a little bubble a little lemon very refreshing not sweet drink. Go here, eat here, you won't be disappointed!

I talked to several customers at this location and all were pleased with their food. I was excited to get my food but disappointed with my meal. The food was pretty generic, bland inauthentic Mexican food. I was not impressed by the flavor profiles. I knew going to a Mexican restaurant in FL would be a gamble and I was right. The salsa tasted like pace pecante that you can buy from Publix. The food was very bland and I pretty much ate just because I was hungry. With that being said the service was great. I had a large party and as we were sitting our waitress was bringing us chips. Savana was awesome and did a really good job and getting our orders taken accurately and making sure our beverages were topped off. All in all great service but not my choice even as a tourist spot for food.

La Paz is a treasure just off 98 in the heart of Destin. Great, long list of margarita specialities and tequila. Fun, cozy eclectic vibe. Plenty of seafood integrated naturally into coastal Mexican fare. Good options for full vegetarian eaters. Even the basics - rice and black beans- are made with love and lots of flavor. My teen kids said it was the best tasting Spanish out Mexican rice they've ever had. My guy got the vegetable tamale; it had more masa than we would prefer, but the masa was fresh and delicate, and its veggies were flavorful. I had spiced snapper and it was perfectly cooked. Brooke, our waitress was relaxed and friendly, super service and insider tips about Destin for NYE 2023.

Tonight my son and I went out for dinner to Mexican which is a normal thing for us. I am new to Destin so we were looking for something like back home in Atlanta. There's Mexican everywhere. This was a little different. A little higher priced than regular Mexican restaurant so I thought that the whole experience would be worth the price. Definitely not. They didn't have enough servers to accommodate the entire restaurant. I barely saw my server the entire time I was there. We did not get utensils to eat. No napkins. The food was good, but no better than the rest of the chains. However very disappointing considering I paid $25 for a quesadilla that was the size of the saucer. I'm surprised they couldn't spare a little more tortilla on the large size to accommodate the price. My drink was a Texas Margarita 18 oz of which I paid $17 for one drink and it was in a regular glass LOL. You could have at least made it fancy. In total with appetizer My son got a chimichanga and with my quesadilla and one drink I paid $100.... That's shocking. I'm not cheap. I'm frugal, this was outrageous for just us two at a mediocre Mexican restaurant. It should not have cost us more than $60 to have dinner with one Margarita. Y'all really have to do better. Keep your prices but do something with your dishes. Make sure the food is of proportion to be charging that price. Make sure your servers are checking on...

This place was not good at all. The food was majorly expensive and coming from a Mexican it was not authentic AT ALL. This was very very American. My brother got 1 tamal to try and I don't even see how they could possibly call that a tamal. The meat wasn't even inside of the masa and was not cooked in any type of sauce. It was honestly disrespectful at that point. They give you a big ol plate of grass on the other meals. Me and my boyfriend got fresh catch and I got tequila lime shrimps and the fish was not seasoned at all it was so plain and there was more salad on the plate then fish or shrimp . The server told me they only had black beans and when the food came out later they gave my mom and dad pinto beans. My sister ordered nachos and they were burnt. The drinks were okay I can't complain too much but my boyfriend and dad ordered two margaritas one pineapple one mango habanero and they brought both out as mango habaneros. Our bill was +$300 and honestly that food shouldn't have been more than $150 how poop it was . I would never go there again they don't even play any Spanish music all the decorations are really weird too. I did post...

First thing I want to start off saying is that we are from Texas. This is not Authentic Mexican food. I don’t even know where to begin. The chips and salsa we received tasted like Pace Picante sauce straight from the jar, was cold.. and the green sauce, I don’t even want to get started on the green sauce. Queso was outrageously expensive at $10 for maybe a little side bowl. Next thing I thought was, “maybe, I’m judging this place to harshly on there salsa, so let’s order an enchilada plate, you can always tell a good Mexican restraunt by their enchiladas!” All I’m saying was, that just wasn’t it lol. Any other review on her that says they are from Texas and thought it was Authentic, doesn’t live within 50 miles of I-10 or south of it for that matter, probably from up north somewhere. I will say, it was a beautiful place, service was ok, drinks were good. But food was on the down side, therefore I give my two star rating. We kinda knew what we were walking into, but did not expect it to be this far from our...
