Bodega is truly a one-of-a-kind spot in Detroit. This cafe-bar-market hybrid brings a unique and eclectic vibe to Brush park that is unmatched by any other establishment.
From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interior is tastefully decorated with a mix of modern and rustic elements, creating a cozy and comfortable environment that invites you to relax and linger.
The cafe section boasts an impressive menu of expertly brewed coffees, teas, and a variety of fresh pastries and sandwiches. I enjoyed their espresso, which was perfectly balanced and served at just the right temperature with a cinnamon roll. I will have to come back for a bottle and board for $35, looks like a good buy for a cheese board and bottle of wine.
What sets Bodega apart, however, is its market section. Here, you can find a carefully selected assortment of gourmet foods, artisanal cheeses, and specialty products that are perfect for grabbing on the go or for creating a delicious meal at home. It’s a great place to pick up unique gifts or treats for yourself. Bottles of casa azul, great boucha, and combination of everything you need.
They should definitely open one up...
Read moreNot Exactly Friendly to Black people. Sorry had to finally say it. My daughter and I have been here several times. I'm so glad she us young and naive to catch it. She loves this place, it is very clean, a variety of things. But this one guy who is almost always there when we are there (after 4, glasses) is super unfriendly to us, very nice to everyone else. I went last night to the bottle and board night, and was COMPLETELY ignored and overlooked. Some young ladies (different race) was there and ordered the same but was catered too. I been sitting for awhile no acknowledgement at all. But soon as another gentleman walks in Acknowledged, help and he was on his way. I looked around around and was like ok, maybe I need to walk to the counter?, the other ladies didn't, but I did. Then it was oh oh oh I was coming. Noo. You helped two people that came in after me. When he got back to the bar I can tell he said something about me because the couple he was talking ti look back at me. Never checked on the rest of the night. I wish this was the only incident but it wasn't. I made no fuss there, but had to say something here. Very...
Read moreSo super cute place. Really small. Menu is small I kinda had things in mind I wanted to order to eat and you know how it is when you decide something then you get there are eager to order and the server/bartender says sorry we don’t have it! We are all out! It’s instantly like seriously. The girl taking our order was nice and accommodating to my dietary restrictions! The gentleman who took the drink order came back sorta quickly with drinks. A little of a wait there. They were not very busy which was nice was able to have a more private experience with my significant other. I like how they put a spin on a bodega! You guys should have more upscale gourmet desserts that would definitely elevate your vibe a little. Parking is paid. Pay it! Because we didn’t and noticed a car take a photo of our plate while creeping by slowly so we expect to get something in the mail unfortunately. They add up pay it! Don’t do what we did we thought we’d be okay! The girl there said no they figure you out. The one star is for them not having what I wanted. It wasn’t late.. late to be out. I guess their menu is on certain days they have...
