Where do I start... This has to be one of the filthiest restaurants that I have ever eaten at. Food, paper, and trash were under numerous tables in the area where people had to eat. Food and paper and God knows what else lingered in the crevices of the benches. The table was sticky. I asked for a broom and dustpan so that I could sweep the food and debris from underneath our table. I was given a dustpan that had trash in it because I guess the staff is too lazy to lift the dustpan and empty the trash out of it. When I began sweeping, a liquid substance was coming from the broom and I couldn't determine whether it was water or grease; therefore, I asked to be seated at another table which the hostess didn't seem too happy about, but that is part of her job as a hostess. The new table didn't fair any better. Food was also underneath it and in the benches' crevices. The table was also sticky. This was the case for the table right across from us as well. My mom refused to eat there and went outside and sat in the truck. My husband was super hungry and it was late, so I stayed there for the sake of him. I walked over and asked the manager who was sitting at the bar to come over and look at the condition of the dining area. He seemed to be already aware of it and told me that he had only been there for 3 days. He stated that he hopes to turn things around. He better start cracking the whip real soon because based on other reviews, that ship is sinking and fast! They have repeated problems that need to be addressed or they are going to continue to lose customers. I can't get the thought of the filthiness out of my head, and I am very apprehensive about dining at this location again anytime in the...
Read moreApparently we are not the only ones who had trouble here. The other reviews from tonight promoted my review to show itâs not just a one off issue.
We walked in and there were plenty of tables available but were told to wait. At this time we were the only people waiting.
We asked for a table specifically (over a booth) and after about 15 minutes of the hostess being MIA she came back and asked us âDo you want to wait for a table?â
We can literally see tables available instead of a booth. If there are more than 5 empty tables why should we have to wait longer for a table?
Anyway she says do we want to wait LONGER for a table but a booth is ready now and at this point we have had enough attitude and decided to leave.
When we walked in there was no one waiting but in the 15 minutes we waited about 4 other groups arrived so instead of just sitting us all down at the many empty tables/booths we are all told âthere is no server in that sectionâ even thought we can all see the server bussing the table that just got up so obviously there was a server in that section. There were many people sitting in this section so itâs not like we wanted them to open up a closed dining area.
Regardless if a customer asks for a table over a booth and there is a table ready (more than 6 weâre open and clean in just the main area not including bar) why should an arbitrary line of âserver sectionâ matter?
If they were understaffed maybe the employees standing around in back or the one cleaning the windows should take some extra tables. Even if it is new years itâs 5:30 on a Tuesday itâs not like this is prime time.
Donât waste your time here and just go to any of the other chains less than...
Read moreFirst visit and I have to say this is one of (if not the) worst restaurants Iâve tried in Dothan. Our party ordered the spinach dip, ribs(side: cheese broccoli), chicken wrap, potato soup, queso, and a buttermilk chicken sandwich. The spinach dip tastes decent, slightly better than what youâd get out of a jar, but there are restaurants nearby that make it better. The ribs were deeply charred and under seasoned(the bbq sauce tastes good). I didnât try the cheese broccoli but both people who tried it said it wasnât edible. I thought I was playing it safe by ordering the chicken wraps because who can mess up a chicken wrap? Cheddars can, thatâs who. The chicken wraps tasted like they grabbed a tortilla straight from the bag, threw a chicken tender on it and tried to drown out the lack of care/flavor with a pound of cheese and a pound of ranch, the cabbage (which is listed on the menu) was not present. The potato soup tastes funny, whatever base they use needs to be changed. Also, it wasnât soup; it was chowder. I turned the bowl upside down and it stayed inside the bowl. One of four people liked the queso. In my opinion it was too thick(chip breaking thick) and definitely needed more peppers. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was the only good thing. The chicken was fried perfectly and seasoned perfectly from skin to meat, the bun was soft with just a slight firmness from where it had been toasted/placed on the grill. It was by far the best chicken sandwich Iâve eaten and for that reason I donât think itâs a Cheddars recipe, that recipe was definitely taken from somewhere else. That chicken sandwich deserves a better restaurant. The star is for...
