Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Dr. Phillips

1 star but its more like 1/2 a star! And that is only because its close to our hotel!!! My husband and I came into this Pizza hut next to "Buffalo wild wings" for takeout pizza to share after a long day in the theme parks. We ordered what we wanted and it looked great on the menu - buffalo chicken on a thin and crispy base of which we were advised was a little spicy and was told it would take approximately 20 mins. We were a bit shocked when the woman on the till advised us we would need a drink to go with this and pointing at the fridge like we should be purchasing from there! ...... We advised back that we would not be requiring drinks as we would be using drinks previously purchased that day. We were waited and sat next to another person who was waiting on takeout also. When this person's order was ready they brought it out to him and served him properly although it did look like he had spent around 40 Dollars or more on his purchase. When our food was eventually ready (nearly 35 mins in a place 75% empty) we were basically told it was ready and we had to head back up to the till to collect it (not brought to us like the previous customer) ..... nice touch we both thought .... not! Back at our hotel we sat down to the worst pizza we have both had in a long time, sauce was in a plastic tub hot and watery, base was hard not crispy and the toppings were few and far between and tasteless - 18 Dollars for the privilege of it too! As it is November, not high season and later at night - if it takes 30 mins it should be amazing! Maybe if it was eat in it may have been different because a tip is expected? We have been to pizza hut further down international drive and it was excellent so we know it isn't the brand!!! We won't be back in this pizza hut as there are places all the way down i-drive that provide a much better product and with a great attitude - we would...

Not only did I get the wrong pizzas and the toppings were wrong (2 large specialty pizzas, one supreme, one Hawaiian) but the dough in the center was still raw and yet the top was burnt. I should’ve checked the pizza before I walked out of the Pizza Hut but you don’t think those things when you are in a hurry to eat when you’ve worked all day and are starving since we hadn’t eaten. I called the store and the “manager” said they couldn’t do anything about it… this Pizza Hut is not only a bad Pizza Hut, but they expect a tip to do their job! What is this? Tip for doing your job? You’ve gotta be kidding me! To hand me 2 boxes? You are out of your MIND! Think again, if you need the money that bad, and you think doing your job which is what you’re paid for in the first place, isn’t paying enough, demand a raise or go work somewhere else! I’m already paying for the pizza kids! I’m already paying the taxes and fees that is required! You didn’t do anything to make my experience better and yet you hand me food that is wrong and poorly cooked and nowhere near adequate enough to even pay the prices you demand! Nope, get your tip by doing your job and making a paycheck buddy. Looking at the receipt after I sign for it like you expect a tip and then throw a fit when it’s zero!?!?!? ITS WHAT YOURE THERE FOR! You didn’t even deliver it! I came to pick it up! If anything, you should tip me! Horrible Pizza Hut, food sucks and the workers are over paid if you ask me, I wouldn’t waste your money or time here! Have it delivered from another Pizza Hut before you order here! I asked for a refund and the manager laughed at me. No thanks, I’ll take it to the bbb and let them...

If I could rate it a zero I would. There were 4 of us and when we walked in we were greeted to a nice host but that's where the positives ended. We were sat at a table underneath the freezing air conditioning which was set to what I can only presume as -100 degrees. Opposite us was a table that was falling off the stand and was a hazard. No wonder they didn't seat anyone there. We ordered drinks and they came pretty much straight away and we ordered the 4 SMALL pizzas that we wanted. After about 5 minutes the host came back and said that 3 out of the 4 pizzas that we wanted weren't available in small and could only do in medium which we didn't want but had anyway. Then after another 5 minutes, she then came back and said that the only remaining pizza that was left as a small couldn't be done as a hand tossed (so clearly not freshly made and had to have it another way. At this point the 2 fries that we had ordered had arrived and after only 4 minutes, they were cold due to the freezing air conditioning. The pizzas eventually came and the table was swamped due the the size of the pizzas that we didn't want. I then went to the restroom. The restroom was a health HAZARD! The sign on the door said that they are inspected hourly but the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years! We ate most of our pizzas unwillingly due to the size and asked for 1 box (read that again 1) and the host happily waddled off to get it. She then came back with 3 boxes for some reason and handed us the cheque for $90!!! Unfortunately we had no choice to pay as we would have walked out without paying...
