Our reservation was cancelled due to us being late which is understandable. The host then said they’d add us to the queue and text when another table was ready. After an hour of not receiving a text we walked back down from walking around upstairs and found that they’d forgotten to add us to the queue. At which point they went ahead and seated us.
The waiter was amazing. We were celebrating our cousins birthday and were told they don’t do anything special for birthdays except the sparkler. The spaghetti pomodoro was recommended as a really good dish. I ordered this and the meatball appetizer. The spaghetti tastes like spaghetti o’s. I was told it’s made fresh in the kitchen. I suggest revisiting the recipe. It literally tastes like garnished spaghetti o’s. The texture of the noodles and sweetness of the tomato sauce puts one in the mind of spaghetti o’s. I recommend staying away from the pasta altogether as someone else from our party had the Mezze Rigatoni and did not like it either. The meatballs were simply Italian meatballs with tomato sauce and dollops of ricotta cheese. We ate the food simply because we’d been looking forward to coming the entire day and wanted to save our appetite. On top of that it was late and going anywhere else would’ve been another hour plus wait to eat unless we went the fast food route.
As we were leaving we decided to take green tea shots. One bartender seemingly ignored us attempting to flag him to place an order and the other bartender opted to take our order. The drinks were great. I paid and was waiting to be able to add a tip when to my surprise the bartender included his own tip on my ticket. I was not given the option to tip on my own accord or select the tip amount. The bartender added it without my consent.
The drinks were great! The aesthetic of the place is great as well. The waiter was great. The...
Read moreWe had a really disappointing experience while celebrating a friend's birthday last Thursday. From the start, things went downhill. After being seated, it took around 25 minutes for our server to even greet us. We were a party of 8, and the restaurant wasn’t busy, so there was really no excuse for the delay.
Once she finally greeted us, we put in our drink orders along with some appetizers. It then took over 15 minutes for just the drinks to arrive, and only 5 of us had ordered drinks at that point. The wait for everything else was just as frustrating. When it was finally time to order our food, we waited so long that I had to flag down one of the other servers to call our server over.Throughout the entire meal, the server was hard to find, and whenever she did make an appearance, she seemed uninterested in our needs or requests. To make matters worse, she was completely unapologetic for the delays and poor service. It felt like she couldn't care less about the issues we were facing.
The food was a letdown too. One friend’s gnocchi was completely flavorless, while my Mezze rigatoni was a bit undercooked. Another friend was still waiting for her gnocchi and brussel sprouts long after the rest of us were almost finished eating. She wanted to cancel her order, but the server was nowhere to be found, so she had to go find her herself.
On top of all that, one of our friends mentioned to the server that it was a birthday celebration, but by the end of the meal, the birthday was completely forgotten. There was no acknowledgment or even a simple gesture to make the occasion special.
All in all, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience, and unfortunately, we won’t...
Read moreThe front desk host could’ve been a little more friendly. She behaved as if she hated her job but the restaurant is so cute! The food is absolutely amazing! I had the firecracker shrimp roll that came with eight pieces. The A5 Wagyu roll as well. I’m not much of a raw meat eater so I was very surprised that this was actually very tasty. The Bolognese pasta was phenomenal! Almost a little over seasoned but it was so good. Richard was our server and he was very nice. I think we could’ve been checked on a little more because we were sitting for a while waiting for the checks and weren’t offered any refills but overall the aesthetic and food was come back worthy
Edit: I tried my best not to hark on the fact that the customer service was not the best the first visit, but after the second visit, I have to say the customer service is quite terrible. It appears that they may have picked up quite a bit of young people with no experience in the working field. A friend and I went for drinks a few days ago. The bar was full, so we had to sit at a table. The server only came to take our drink order and had not checked on us… again. And had the nerve to demand a tip from me after we sat and waited for refills and sat even longer for him to walk past so we could get our checks. I think this restaurant is too beautiful to be associated with terrible customer service. I believe there should be a higher standard when it comes to being an employee here . One of my girlfriends plan on having her birthday dinner here tomorrow and I am very bittersweet about it because the food is amazing, but I would hate to be treated like this again. Please...
