READ THE REVIEWS FIRST! We picked this place for the reviews. I didnt read them just looked at the google rating. BIG MISTAKE. We walked in and the place was run down. We were hoping for a diamond in the rough. The chips were stale and the queso had a funny after taste. We both ordered the same burrito. It immediately had a funny smell coming off of it. The tortillas were a different color than normal Mexican restaurants and they were hard to cut through. We were the only ones there and got our food in less than 5 minutes, but both burritos were some how luke warm. The first bite I took, a rancid fishy flavor attacked my taste buds. I spit it out and smelled the shrimp and it had definitely gone rancid. The chicken and steak were both rubbery. We took one bite and couldnt finish it. Read moreWorst take out Food/service I’ve ever experienced. Ordered Vegetarian dishes for my wife and I. Came to pick orders up and the Hostess/ Waiter appeared to be Drunk and talking to friends. He did not greet me or give me my order. I had to grab it off the cart next to the kitchen. Hostess looked at me, turned around and continued talking to his friends. We get back to our hotel and take out our food and it was not Vegetarian, there was a bunch of ground beef inside one of a tacos. My wife ordered a Vegetarian taco salad, and there were a few pieces of steak inside. We ordered French fries and they were cold and not cooked all the way. It was the most disappointing disgusting 🤮 food we’ve ever purchased. I really wish I would’ve checked my order before leaving this place I would have requested a refund, that’s...
Read moreThis is the best Mexican food in the area and it's not even close! Blows everyone else out of the water!
I had the el pastor and lingua tacos and they were so flavorful and rich. Definitely street style! Served with some spicy sauce on the side (actually spicy, not Minnesota spicy)
Finished up the meal with the housemade flan and it was also a must!
The server was super friendly and welcoming!
I LOVE the homage to the Zapatas and Poncho Villa! A fantastic theme with rich Mexican history!
I would like to see them make the space a little cozier, a nice comfy place to grab a beer or marg but they are new so give them some time. That doesn't matter when the food is so great, to be honest.
We don't make it to this part of downtown often...
