RT Quinlan's — Restaurant in Duluth

I got stranded in Duluth last year in April and I was stuck at the bus station for hours because I lived hours away and was waiting on a ride. One of the owners of this bar took me in and sat me down. Obviously being under 21 she didn’t let me near the alcohol. She taught me a song on the piano. She wouldn’t let some of the men talk to me. She gave me pizza and soda. We talked about life and she gave me a tough talk which I needed. She made me feel confident again. She made me laugh and cry at the same time. I don’t remember her name and I wish I could reach out to her and tell her how different my life is now and thank her. RT Quinlan's is a great little bar in the heart of downtown Duluth, MN. I am only started going there about 5 years ago. I'm a transplant from NW TN, mind you. The regulars welcomed me with open arms and I have made many, many good friends their. Now, I'm a "regular". Laid back atmosphere, really great live musical acts on the weekends, and great commeradery during Vikings games, always a party that you don't need an invitation to. Just show up! It has a very "Cheers" type of feel to it. Sparky and his crew always make you feel welcome! I highly recommend this "Jewel" of a place in the heart of Duluth. Freaking bad attitude and customer service of the bartender. Is it because I am an Asian? But I was with a 53 years old American friend and the bartender asked to see our ID! We asked what's the purpose of checking our IDs but not the group of guys who walked in with us, he wouldn't reply but told us that we should leave. For what reason should we be told to leave when we are there to give them business. What form of customer service is that? This is the worst experience...
