I wanted to go there, I actually waited to pay high prices, when we got there we sat our selves and was rudely, told to move because they had a six top at that area. But there was know sign or notice. I was so excited to go to Fenway this wasn’t our first time there, and finally went tonight with a client and my husband. It was just slightly after sunset when we got there and the downstairs hostess put us on the wait list to go to the rooftop. After twenty minutes we were called to go upstairs and no one was there to greet us so we seated ourselves.
After sitting there awhile someone dressed like she just just got off the beach in shorts and a T-shirt in a classy establishment informed us we had to move that the spot we were in was reserved. I learned she was the upstairs hostess after she moved us to a different table.
We waited at this new table for a while and no one came to wait on us, so I went to the bar. I had went to the bar was told by bartender cocktail waitress would be over, So I went back and sat down. Then no one came for about 10 minutes, and my husband went and ordered a drink for my client and I. The bartender brought one drink that I’ve asked for but he said he couldn’t serve me. And then the waitress brought the two drinks my husband had ordered.
When we went to be checked out I was Char overcharged for a drink and the hostess came over. When I told her that she had charged us for four drinks instead of three drinks, she said she had seen the bartender deliver the drinks that and that she was right there. I told her she did not see that because it did not happen. She was very rude to me and it actually upset me quite a bit. So what I guess you should know is that the atmosphere is nice the drinks are pricey but tasty but the service is lacking and the upstairs hostess has no...
Read moreI really, really wanted to like this rooftop bar. The view is stunning and the architectural design pleasing. But I knew I was in trouble when we arrived on grand opening day and the response to my initial question, "What rye whiskeys do you have was 'Crown.'" It was downhill from there. My $14 Old Fashioned arrived crammed full of ice and miserably watered down and my wife said her Cosmo was the worst she had ever had--also so watered down. To be safe—I next ordered Bulleit Rye neat and it arrived much later with ice. Yikes. I finally got it neat only to be charged a $2 upcharge for "no ice". Our bill was $74 (not counting tip) for three drinks and a glass of mediocre wine. Yikes! I don't mind paying these prices if the drinks are first-class and service is exceptional--but they were not. It's true, the view is worth a lot, but it seemed there had been no prior training and confusion reigned as the crowd grew. Sigh. Hopefully, service and quality will improve as they get their sea legs on. Disappointing. As a Dunedin resident, I really would like for this to be a...
Read moreBeen to Dunedin a few times and had no idea about this bar until I saw it mentioned in an article about the best rooftop bars in the Tampa Bay area. The prices are on the higher end but that is to be expected at a rooftop bar on top of a boutique hotel overlooking the water. If you appreciate hotels and history, it’s worth checking out (Fenway Hotel, built in the 1920s). We got there about an hour and a half before sunset and were lucky enough to grab a loveseat as another party was leaving. Being a Saturday it was already very crowded. By sunset it was mostly standing room, so it’s best to get there early. However if you don’t care about watching the sunset, go right after and half the crowd will have disbursed. They had a pretty decent drink menu of liquor, cocktails and craft beer. Cannot speak for the food as we only had drinks. Service at our couch was also pretty good considering how busy they were. Will definitely be going back, even if just in the afternoon as you can’t beat the view any...
