Chuy's a Tex-Mex chain that promises never frozen, always fresh ingredients, and hand rolled tortillas. This location near perimeter mall is so cool looking, and offers plenty of seating, and parking so waiting times shouldn't be long. Overall, Chuy's was okay, but not so impressed.
Stuff we ordered:
BEEF FAJITAS $18: Served with grilled onions and peppers, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, tomato, flour tortillas, Mexican rice and refried beans.
CHICKA-CHICKA BOOM-BOOM ENCHILADAS $13: Served with Mexican rice, refried beans, lettuce and jalapeños. The Boom-Boom Sauce is V spicy.
-BIG AS YO FACE BURRITO $13: Served with Mexican rice and refried beans, tomato, lettuce and jalapeños. Smothered with Hatch Green Chile Sauce. Not so spicy.
As well as a couple of their margaritas (frozen, and on the rocks) which were pretty good.
The food was okay. The enchiladas were VERY spicy for me, which I wish my server mentioned before. It made it kinda hard to enjoy my food. The burrito was not as spicy, but was lacking flavor. The fajitas were good but you can't really go wrong with fajitas.
-BIG AS YO FACE BURRITO $13: Servido con arroz mexicano y frijoles refritos, tomate, lechuga y jalapeños. Cubierto con Salsa de Chile Verde Hatch. No tan picante.
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Chuys Mexican during a quiet period, and I must say that the experience was fantastic. From the moment we entered, MoMo, our server, took great care of my mom and me, ensuring that we had a memorable dining experience.
First and foremost, the service provided by MoMo was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He patiently answered our questions, made recommendations, and ensured that our drinks were topped up throughout the meal. MoMo's warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home, elevating our dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food! The salsas at Chuys Mexican were absolutely delicious. They offered a variety of options, each boasting its own unique flavor profile. From the smoky chipotle salsa to the tangy tomatillo salsa, every bite was a burst of vibrant, authentic Mexican flavors. The salsas perfectly complemented the dishes and added an extra layer of zest to our meal.
Speaking of dishes, I had the pleasure of trying their fajitas, and they did not disappoint. The fajitas were expertly prepared, with tender, well-seasoned meat and a colorful medley of grilled peppers and onions. The sizzling platter arrived at our table, filling the air with a mouthwatering aroma. The portion size was generous, and the flavors were simply outstanding. It was a true fiesta for the taste buds!
Overall, Chuys Mexican left a lasting impression on me. The combination of excellent service, delightful salsas, and mouthwatering fajitas made for an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend visiting Chuys Mexican, especially during quieter moments when you can fully appreciate the attentive service provided by servers like MoMo. Read moreThis was a bad exp¹erience all the way from the hostess to the exit.... We walked in Wednesday evening around 6:45 and the place was nearly empty. The Hostess was engaged in conversation with another employee so we waited untill the conversation hit a slow spot. As the Hostess sized my wife and I up you could openly see she disapproved of our biracial relationship (I'm white my wife is A.A. and the Hostess was A.A.) and see also looked and saw I have a disability walking with a cane so instead of taking us to the dining room with no stairs she took us to the Bar area (with stairs)..... My wife got a little attitude at the situation but I told her to chill ignorance is ignorance and there is nothing she could do to change it/her.... The oh so charming hostess led us to a table without saying a word where she dropped two sets of utensils on the table and walked away and no menu's. After being placed at a table it was a 14 minute wait before we were greeted by our server who was also the bartender, she was polite as she took our drink order. 13 minutes later we received our Iced Tea and placed our food order and our server read it the order back to us two times before walking away. After what seemed like an eternity (actuality it was only 32 minutes) our dinner reached the table and it was okay. On our way out of the restaurant we tried once again to speak with the rude little hostess but we were met with a...
