Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Elyria

I gave them four stars because I had two small issues but if I didn't have them issues I would have gave them a five-star at least once or twice a year me and the wife like to go to Applebee's but this is the first time we went to the Elyria Applebee's and we live in Elyria and this time we ordered off the menu something from the 2 for 22 which is offers one appetizer to share or two side salads and one entry from the 22 dollar selection so we ordered the house salad and the riblets and I'm telling you they were amazing they were the best that I've had in many many years I just couldn't stop eating them whatever time we go to Applebee's we always order the appetizer sampler would you cost about 1499 and it comes with boneless BBQ chicken wings Applebee's mozzarella sticks quesadillas and something like that but this time I was surprised normally it also comes with potato skin and that's the only reason why I ordered it so me and my wife can share this appetizer together that it has because it has even amounts of everything it works out perfectly instead they brought us out a half a plate of chips with some kind of spinach dip with the appetizers and the chips covered all the appetizers I was disappointed because there were no potato skins because I can't eat the chips because I have no teeth and so I was just a point that I paid $15 for half a plate of chips normally were offered the potato skins and didn't get that choice this time and the second issue I had I felt like the waitress was trying to hurry us up you know get us in get us out when practically there was nobody there at the time we went yesterday around 2 p.m. for lunch I felt they were meeting a little pushed and I was very uncomfortable with that I wanted to sit relax and enjoy my meal which I did I enjoyed very well except for a 15-dollar plate of chips that I could not eat and felt like being pushed out the door, if we can fix that I'll give him a five-star next time other than all I'd recommend it to anybody please try there two for 22 or 2 for 27 very well worth the money you'll enjoy it very...

I dined here recently and the only reason I am giving a 2 start is because I had a great server, I don’t remember her name but she had blonde hair, very well presentable and started with a T. For the rest of things it was a literal nightmare. The host was rude she was pregnant so I understand that perspective but it wasn’t that busy and I got put on a wait and when asked why it was basically because I said situation which we almost walked out. I ordered a sirloin and it took absolutely forever for the dish to come out and when it did it was overcooked. My server kept apologizing to me about everything which like I said I understand it isn’t her fault at all but even the drinks I ordered with a unpacked bar took ages. At the end I asked to speak to a manager and her name was Kate, or something of that nature and she took forever to come out and actually speak to me and when she did she was just very straight forward almost stern seemed in a mood but what really did it for me was she said sorry we have been busy as I looked around at empty booths and tables surrounding my family and I. I appreciate the waitress because she was the only one who was actually speaking the truth and was not rude to me or my family she did everything she could and that is all I ever cared about, of course I got a discount but that wasn’t even what I was worried about just getting a good meal which I haven’t ever had the trouble at other AppleBees locations and the excuse from the manager is what truly did it for me. I won’t be back and I hope some things change with the staff here because while out waitress was great, very presentable and put together, the host looked like she rolled out of bed and had a vendetta toward life. I love this applebees! Tonight will be my 3rd time here in a month :D I usually only go every other month, but lately it's been hitting home runs every time. I will say the past 2 times, including last night (yes, going two days straight) for the second time in a row they made our quesadillas with chicken even though, both times, we asked for it to be without chicken. The waitresses also told us both times they were rang in correctly, it was just a kitchen staff error. I'd like to side note here that the young lady who brought the food out was sort of rude. I immediately held the dish back to her and said, "this isn't supposed to have chicken on it." She didn't look at me, nor grab the plate I was holding towards her. Instead she walked away and sort of impolitely muttered, "enjoy your meal." Although some people probably would freak out about having the same thing messed up two times in a row, and both within two weeks of each other, I was more impressed with the manager coming by to acknowledge the mishap and the waitresses willingness to make our visit as enjoyable as possible. The waitress also noticed within seconds (she was standing at the next table) the young lady who brought the dishes didn't acknowledge what had happened and immediately grabbed the plate from my hand to remedy the situation. All in all, I'm impressed with this Applebee's not because they NEVER make mistakes, or because ALL of their staff are stars of courtesy and kindness, but because the vast majority of the time they DO shine, and at the times they do not meet expectations, they are more than willing to fix it and make your visit just as pleasant as if nothing wrong happened at all.
