I really liked this place for over a year. The pizza we ordered maybe three times before was really great... Then everything changed for the worse. First the pepperoni pizza is kinda expensive but it is worth it because of two layers of pepperoni, on top and under cheese. Twice recently my pepperoni pizza has had no pepperoni on top. When I called to complain the guy says ' well I'm not the chef but we don't put pepperoni on top of the cheese' and proceeded to tell me I pay that much for a pepperoni pizza that and to quote 'never has pepperoni on top'. Unfortunately, my most recent pizza was just like this; no pepperoni on top, not cooked enough and stale with the cheese so congealed that I knew from taste it wasn't freshly made at all. So I think you're guessing now how horrified I was to realize that the guy who answered the phone who says he 'isn't the chef' probably doesn't know what is happening in the kitchen. The pizza made with two layers of pepperoni cooked fresh is delicious, amazing, spicy but totally great. Sometimes, though someone in their kitchen decides to take away the top layer of pepperoni and even cook a stale old pizza as new to give to take out customers like me. It was disgusting. One of the worst pizzas I have ever had from the place. I called and the guy literally said he would make it right and hung up on me. I was so hangry... hungry and angry for those who don't understand the word. I felt a bit out of place acting out a scene so much like a Karen vs a pizza guy, but like I said this 'was' my favorite pizza place and then they served me stale bad pizza. If that isn't worth a little 'Karen' anger then all the critics and hangry disappointed pizza lovers should just accept bad food and bad service with a smile. Have a great day and find better pizza someplace else. Thanks...
Read moreSince I received an email request from Jimanos for a review (love that btw), here you go. I just moved to the area from Northglenn, and this is already my new favorite pizza place. My co-worker ordered it for our lunch one day, so that's how I discovered it. Since then, I've ordered their pizza 4 times. I really love it because it tastes fresh and not like a pizza chain. I'm from the east coast and a pizza junkie. Therefore, it's hard to find some in Denver I really like. I love their sauce, the thin crust pizza, and the seasonings on top. It's so good!! I do have one complaint. We ordered delivery last week, and it took a little over an hour and a half! I received a call from the driver who said, "your pizza's here." I was like, "ok you guys don't bring it to our door?" The driver replied, "if I knew where you were at, I would." I have an issue with that, because it's on the driver to do all he can to figure it out. I gave specific instructions over the phone which building and unit I was in. If the driver were lost, all he had to do was call me. Thank goodness our food was still semi-warm, but I was displeased with his customer service on the delivery and the amount of time it took. My boyfriend had to walk all the way over to the other side of our apartment complex to find him. Our building and unit numbers are very clearly labeled on the buildings. It was a lack of effort on his part. If you can, I recommend curbside. My curbside experience was so much better. I will still continue to order, and I'd love to try...
Read moreI ate here because it was in walking distance of my home and it had a good google rating. Not the best decision process. Here is the truth about Jimanos. They are more concerned with their Chicago theme than making good food or customer requests.
First strike was they had no ginger ale. Ok, not a big deal, but I like ginger ale with my pizza.
Strike two, I asked for 10 breaded wings as it stated on the menu and I was told that they only bread the boneless wings, which is essentially a breast chunk. I said “can you bread them anyway?”, she said “sure,no problem!” Brings out the wings and tells us that they were breaded but it didnt stick. This is the only eatery on the planet that has this problem im sure. Thats just lazy and arrogant.
Aaaaand strike three, “build your own pizza”...😑the pizza I wanted was a Philly cheese steak pizza... Alfredo sauce, provolone and mozzarella, shaved steak, onions and mushroom. Boom! The response I got was “we dont do anything philly, we are a Chicago pizzeria” so she suggests something close-ish to what I really wanted, but it was just more lazy. They bring out a pizza that looked great but was actually made from frozen dough, bland sauce and sliced into small squares.
I would have been better off going to King Soops and buying a boxed pizza.
Just like school pizza... actually, school pizza was a grade higher than Jimanos. Chicago is disgraced by their overpriced crapola.
UPDATE! 5am the following morning I woke up with a bad case of heart burn and the hot...
