Absolutely not worth the drive or parking fee. Kinda blown away by how bad my experience was.
First, the woman working the register was so incredibly rude and argumentative with the person ordering in front of me! I had wanted to order a latter but based on how hostile the cashier was, I skipped that. (She was a middle aged woman with shoulder length black hair, glasses, and a nose stud)
Second, they made zero effort to present or serve the food. They gave me a cold, plastic-wrapped piece of cake with no utensils. My husband ordered a cinnamon roll and same thing: cold with no utensils. He didn’t even eat a third of the roll because it was hard. The icing was also kinda congealed; I think it was a few days old? Crazy that they charged $4.25 for it.
Third, they are playing a very loud radio station — including very loud commercials.
I just don’t get it. This is a nice hotel and there’s a large, nice seating area for the cafe, but it’s like they’re trying their hardest to get you to leave as soon as possible. I really regret wasting my...
Read moreWe stopped here once on the way up to RMNP and then loved it so much we came back on the way back down! We got several souvenirs (flavored whipped honey, elk jerky—just ok, locally made cherry wine— just ok, Vidalia onion peach hot sauce—so good, and various other things). Great stop to grab a few things to take back home to your loved ones! The cherry wine, I thought was just ok. We loved the cherry cider and peach cider! Blackberry had a bit of an aftertaste IMO. Ask for samples before you buy, they are happy to let u try whatever. We got a peach, apricot, and mango smoothie — pretty good! Also had the bison chili which was meaty and flavorful, it comes with cheese and onions and crackers. Very good. And the bison pot pie, which had a wonderful filling crust. Good comfort food! The blueberry handheld pie was a nice dessert but nothing awe inspiring. The service and atmosphere is excellent. This is a small family owned restaurant and they care about their customers. Highly...
Read moreWhen my now husband and I were planning our wedding our first decision was that our dog Petra would with us for the event, our second decision was that we were going to have Colorado Cherry Co pies as our dessert. We ordered 30 each cherry and apple hand pies from the Lyons location for pick up from the Stanley Hotel location.
The pies were a big hit! Even my grandma - whose mother, my great-grandma, made the best pies in the world - loved this pie!! Each pie came individually wrapped with a little sticker indicating what filling it had. The wrapper meant that we did not plates or cutlery for the dessert, which was cost, space and environment saving!
Everyone was so nice and the process went super smooth. I would recommend pre-ordering with CCPC...
