Colorado Games Company — Local services in Estes Park

This is a must visit location after you've been to RMNP in Estes Park. There are a wide variety of games and handcrafted wooden puzzles. Many of the puzzles are out for you to try your hand at, and the store is buzzing with young and old seeing if they can solve these unique and entertaining attractions. I asked the owners for help in selecting some puzzles for my middle school classroom, and they gave me great suggestions based on their experience and feedback. I've used these games with my students, and anyone who tells you that children can't focus has not seen a 7th grader and friends working together for 20 minutes to try and solve one of these. And these are puzzles that both boys and girls want to play with. There is a great moment as a teacher in seeing the pride students take when they've figured out and accomplished one of them, and feeling like an expert. I think they make a great and unique gift for anyone in your family, but this year purchase an extra one and give it to your favorite teacher for their classroom. This is an amazing store with a truly impressive variety of games! Our favorite stop on Elkhorn Ave. We spent more than an hour in here browsing with our group! There's literally games for everyone here, from preschool age to 110!

We got what we came for and more! We were originally looking for Math Roulette and Shut the Box along with any other games that exercise math concepts in a fun way.

We left with those as well as some additional strategy games such as Abducktion (plus expansion pack), Jenga, Unstable Unicorns and Sleeping Beauty.

When we stumbled across Big Boggle we had to snag that as well! Next time we're in we're hoping to look for some more word games and maybe a nice puzzle or two--there were a lot to choose from!

I was here on Jun14 about 4 pm. The selection of chess pieces is exquisite!!! If you are looking for a special set to give to your chess fiend friend or relative, you will probably find something here. Lots of other board games as well as interesting and fun ( and educational ) wooden games with samples on the tables, with rules and instructions so that you, or your kids, can try them out. Cribbage fans will find a wide assortment of wooden boards of different sizes, including travel sizes. My only complaint is that the man behind the counter didn’t acknowledge my presence, even though I tried to catch his eye and was the only one in the store at the time. But I still enjoyed browsing and seeing many games I hadn’t seen before, as well as expansion kits for games like Catan. I was not in the market to buy anything today, but now know where to go when I do need to buy...
