Nice multi-story parking garage on south side of Lake and River. It has a few free electric recharging stations for electric vehicles. The circular path east splits into the Matthews-Reeser Bird Sanctuary to the left and around the Lake or you can go on the south path around the lake counter-clockwise. Beware of elk, especially with calves. They can be very dangerous to humans or dogs. Visitors can catch FREE shuttles to RMNP, or anywhere in Estes during the summer months and part of Fall. Shady, tons of spaces available (grossly underutilized at this juncture), always shady, lovely views, have cameras in case any issues, plenty of ADA spots, easy access to visitor center and trolley across the short river (a quick stroll across the bridge), and great for the quick visit to Farmer's Market on Thursday mornings rather than trying to park at the overflowing visitor center lot!!
