Look, this is in response to this restaurants comment on my boyfriends review. Feel free to dig around for it. My boyfriend posted a review about my experience a few days ago at this place. I ordered the Tuna and it was obvious it was the end of the day Tuna and it was soupy. I've worked in the bar and restaurant industry for years, and so has my boyfriend. I ate the food out of respect and honestly I don't like to ask for food to be made over. If the chef didn't care to give me the right product the first time, especially something as simple as an un-toasted tuna sandwich, why would I want that person to make it again? I was not satisfied with my product that cost me $10. After about an hour, after this place had closed, my boyfriend and our friend experienced a customer being so overjoyed at Subway that they tipped the sandwich maker 50$. The kid that's working at Subway cares more about giving people food than the "cute" sandwich shop. He decided to write a review for me at that point.
So no, it was not an intentional spite. I ate the food, thanked the very nice woman with cute pink glasses, and then cleaned up my table and left. My boyfriend wrote a REAL review about his REAL experience after everything was said and done. We don't owe people who make our food a second chance. Don't make my boyfriend out to be the bad guy because he was honest about your cruddy food. I know it hurts getting a bad review from a customer but seriously, I dont know how you thought you'd fix the situation by replying the way you did. If you really wanted to fix the situation, your response was the opportunity you could've done it.

Read moreWe used Shakes Alive for some lunch catering while we were having services for a party at Glow, next door. They were AMAZING to work with. Urosh (sp?) the manager worked with me from our first phone call to the day of and offered us special menu options that were not their 'normal' since we had several girl with dietary needs (Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten/Sodium Free) and the food was exactly what we wanted. Their courtyard is adorable, and we had lunch there while in-between services at Glow. The smoothies were delicious, it is Palisade Peach Season here in CO and we had specialities with them. The staff was great, super helpful and made sure that we were well taken care of. The concept that we had SIXTEEN guests with all different menu selections made it complicated, but they crew made it perfect for...
Read moreMuch more than a dessert shop and IMO very underrated. In a town where every overpriced restaurant has a line out the door during the summer, this place is quietly serving up awesome drinks, sandwiches, salads, and most notably, an array of Mexican snacks and dishes. I tried the elote en vaso (pretty good, but doesn't stand up to the real on the cob stuff) and the tosticeviche. Tosticeviche is definitely not something you find in your standard family Mexican restaurant and it is so fun and delicious. If you like shrimp, chips, and a spicy, salty, savory mix of flavors, I highly recommend! The prices are much more reasonable than other local...
