You know how they say the answer is right in front of us? So many people walk by this shop every day to get lunch from a place that isn’t Screamin’ Jay’s without ever trying these sandwiches. Jesse is like the sandwich guru or doctor, but even with this being said he’ll be the first to admit he’s still learning the craft which is inspiring yet humbling. These are inspired sandwiches from someone who really loves what they are doing. The menu always rotates because Jesse is always researching the next sandwich to make like the Jibarito, or he pulls up an old classic with the meatball (vegan options always available too) sub. The Greek meatball sandwich had a good amount of tabbouleh on it which I thought was pretty incredible, and the blackened tofu that I had yesterday had a bunch of mango salsa and other delicious things. There’s a lot of attention to sandwich detail with every creation or rendition and you notice when you take the first bite, and Jesse’ll tell you about it if you ask. If your in the mood for east coast style Italian sandwiches- this is the place. In addition , this review is about how great Jesse and co is. Going above and beyond, providing a human experience - especially during covid, etc….and how a simple gesture can be so meaningful.

I got my friend a gift certificate and not only did Jesse hand make a card for the gift certificate. Jesse and co. hand picked sunflowers and drove the gift certificate to my friend for their birthday! My friend was SO happy! I was so moved by this gesture- I had to share. I've been here twice, first time I got the regular pulled pork. Second time (pictured) I tried the vegan version, as recommend by the kind gentleman that works there. It was divine! Better than any pulled pork sandwich I've had before, I'm not a vegan but I do enjoy some great vegan food, and this place has got it. I'll definitely be coming back to try everything they got over time, but if you haven't tried then you're missing out! Best sandwich...
