Joe’s Cajun Cafe — Restaurant in Fargo

Seems like prices have gone up everywhere, but I still love this food. There is a sweet spot usually fresh is best but if it sits just a little bit for the perfect amount of time it really hits the spot, if you go right at close stuff might not be as fresh or if they just bring it from back in the kitchen veggies might not be as soft. I like the cajun seasoning mix they have on the counter, could maybe use some mustard packets didn't see them last time but personally I think it's fresher tasting than Lee Ann Chin's which almost seems like Leeans puts a bit of sugar in the rice or something which i'm not a fan of. I think the lousiana chiken is bomb when it's crispy and fresh but things like mushrooms or veggies are even better after they have been sitting for a while...

A baffling experience. The restruarant is not necessarily bad but its misnamed. It is chinese food that seems to be named cajun joes as a gimmick to get people to go to it over the other chinese place next door. There is a sign that has a crawfish, cayenne pepper, etc on it advertising the cajun style, but the food is 100 percent fast food chinese. For instance, the louisiana roll is just an egg roll. At the end you get chopsticks and fortune cookies. Quality of food is ok but not too different from what you can get in the frozen meals section of walmart. This is the best place for lunch hands down. I always eat here and never goes wrong. I understand there could be a language barrier but if we listen to people carefully they are the best customer service. I have heard some cockroach issues and peasen issues over last year, but may be it wasn’t intensional. Everyone has things to improve and may be this business has some things to improve and I think they are trying to overcome this. There food is delicious and affordable.
