Soup and Salad is great: order the sausage & potato soup - yummy! They always have this special of Soup and Salad, served with delicious garlic bread, all you can eat. You can choose as many different types of soup as you can possibly eat or stick to your most favorite. The salad is served with fresh parmesan and fresh ground pepper. Note: DO NOT go to the Olive Garden at Southcenter. You will be very disappointed with the service, cold food, crowds, noise, dirt. Do go to the Olive Garden in Federal Way. Every meal is served properly and in a much better environment. They are two totally different dining experiences. You will walk away from Olive Garden, Southcenter, wondering how it could possibly be connected to the wonderful Olive Garden in Federal Way, right by Costco. You wont be sorry, even if it's a bit farther! Enjoy your meal at Federal Way! This is a recent update. Olive Garden in Federal Way has always been great. I went there a couple days ago and encountered a bit of a problem. The waitress brought my meal which is always great. It was in a deep bowl- like plate. (Not a regular soup bowl) As time approached to leave, I checked bill and was overcharged. I asked the waitress about it and said the Chicken Alfredo I ordered came from the dinner menu. I never look at the menu and I order the same thing everytime. I've been going to Olive Garden for years all over the country, but Federal Way is always the best. The waitress proceeded to tell me how I should have told her I wanted the lunch menu which was a smaller portion. I told her I've been ordering the exact same meal 100s of times - this is the first time I've ever received anything other. We are always at Olive Garden at 11AM. I also told her I expected lunch; after all, it was lunchtime. She should have made the customer aware there was a lunch size and dinner size and make certain they aren't given the most expensive. I never knew there was a difference. Most restaurants serve dinner after 5PM or so. I don't know any restaurants that would presume you want dinner at 11AM. This is the first time in all these years of going to Olive Garden that the Garlic Breadsticks were not good. They tasted crusty and a bit stale. Usually a basket is brought to the table with several breadsticks. This time only 2 were in the basket (one for each of us). Is this the norm now? They only bring one breadstick for each person? Has the recipe changed to make the consistency and taste change? Both of us ordered the five take-home portions. We saw afterwards on the bill, that they charged for the bags... This was also not expected. Were we each supposed to carry 5 takeout boxes and leftovers from this meal. If I had known they were going to charge for a bag to hold additional purchases, I would have...
Read moreWe debated going to Olive Garden, Black Angus or Vinces Italian. We chose Olive Garden because we like to get their food to go for our elderly parents who we provide dinner for every night. Our server was very nice. Good kid. But our Salad came with no dressing and no Crutons. We asked him if he made the salad, he said yes. We asked for some both missing items and he brought them out on request ans apologized after saying he forgot. We went out to find our beautiful SUV that was my Wife's Birthday gift and we have one payment remaining on had the right rear window smashed out. We had a backpack stolen worth about $180 but there is damage to the door, the door panel and the glass is all over the interior and covered my child's seat. Not Olive Gardens fault but no cameras in the lot. The Managers on duty came out and looked at it an expressed sorrow.and even offered to sweep up some of the glass. The issue is when we got home to open the food we got for our elders, the server gave us the wrong food. All the way to Enumclaw. To get the wrong food. We called ans let them know...we were then told our server was a trainee. We should have been told that when he introduced himself so we could help make sure things were right. But it was never mentioned. The person on the phone offered to mail us a gift certificate but we declined because we are not trying to get something for free. This was an awful experience. The police never came...they said they would call us. The suspected lookout for the break in was still sitting in the parking lot! This was at 6:50pm. The police finally called us at 9:45pm.
I never would have taken the time to post this but getting the wring to go food was the icing...
Read moreMy experience seems unique to the usual, but I wanted to explain the experience for those not interest in this place due to single situation encounters.
We swore this place off over a year back because of reasons outside of the resteraunts direct control. Tonight I brought my large family including an aditional guest in because my kids wanted "noodles!". The front desk staff was kind, the waiter was kind, and all people helping bring out our food were in fact kind. However everything that could slow down or make an order wrong happened tonight. I received my drink from the bar 20 minutes into everyone else having drinks, we received less than ordered sauce for bread, we received our soup and salad after our dinner was brought out, and I personally caved and accepted a meal that I did not order. The craziest possible tornada of situations.
I disappointed went to the front desk to request to talk to the person in charge, not in seak of any form of compensation, but just to explain how crazy our experience was and hope things get better before we come back again. The manager working at the time, Kelly was already aware of the stresses happening at our table and did everything in her power to make the situation better.
I was very mentally convinced we were 100% writing this location off, but I will absolutely bring my family back for another try. I don't think people like Kelly exist at a lot of resteraunt locations in our area and at the minimum, she has won my respect in how she took care of us.
@Kelly you won us over. If I could give an individual person from a resteraunt a rating I would give you a 5... We will be back. Thank you for...
