I went to Lumberyard on 9/3/24. I drove 2 hour just to enjoy their delicious irish egg rolls and yes they were very delicious but that's not why I'm giving one star. It's because of the service and how I was treated. I brought a service animal with me and had asked to sit outside. It was just myself and my service dog. The waitress named Kiralynn M. barely came to my table and didn't know much of the menu when I asked about their food and beverages. She wasn't very nice to me either. I waited about 30 minutes to get my bill I almost walked out. I thought she had gone home. The manager on the clock that night was rude to me as well. I had placed my dog on a chair for a moment because where they sat us the floor was dirty and my dog was stepping in all the nasty left over food and I was trying to pick it all up before she ate it...she is not allowed to eat human food and is trained not to eat human food unless given. She is trained to watch for my safety so to be placed at a table that wasn't cleaned before was very disrespectful and against my safety. I tried to explain this to her and she kept trying to push me to the side telling me to have a good night. I had a family come up to me that wanted to pet my dog and if I say it's ok since I'm the owner of my service animal and I say yes it's allowed but one of the servers said it's not allowed. I responded saying your the only one that has an issue as they walked away. I'm I have not been treated this way before at lumberyard or any other place so I'm hoping this is a one time thing. It's my boyfriends birthday this weekend on the 21st and we are planning to come back to enjoy those Irish egg rolls. I hope this type of treatment doesn't happen again because if so I will be taking further action as to protecting my rights. I will be bring all my papers stating my legal rights of bringing my service animal as well. Thank you
Edit on my review: 09/21/2024 I went with my bf and our two service dogs, we sat outside and the furthest table. The two men, hostess, sat us pretty quickly and the table was clean. The waitress Mason went above and beyond and deserved every tip we gave her. We didn't recieve one complained about our service animals and we enjoyed our time to the fullest extent. I definitely thank the Saturday night crew for making this night magical and the food was so delicious. THANK YOU for all the hard work and all you do. This is all I asked for in the beginning was to be left alone to eat my food and to enjoy our time. I enjoyed...
Read moreasked the friendly team member at the visitors center about where we should eat. She recommended Beaver Street and Lumberyard. Sister locations with delicious but different menus. We started our day at one and ended our day at the other.
The patio at Lumberyard Brewing was already full with a workstation by the time we were ready for dinner. It was a beautiful cool evening. If we didn't need to head back home to Phoenix we would have waited for the outside view.
We heard the Mac & Cheese was the item to get and we struggled to decide because they all sounded amazing. I loved my buffalo Bleu cheese but mom's Kansas city Mac with pork and crispy onions was to die for. The portions are huge so we really should have shared. Especially after we ordered with our stomachs instead of our heads and started with the yummy popper dip. Even the kids' regular Mac was creamy and flavorful. Carb overload made for a sleepy drive home.
Their website tells their neat history:
Winnie and Evan Hanseth opened up Flagstaff’s first brewpub – Beaver Street Brewery, in March of 1994. Over the years, Beaver Street Brewery’s beer has been well received by the public and has won numerous awards. With little space, small capacity, and high demand for Beaver Street Brewery’s beer, owners Winnie and Evan Hanseth looked for an opportunity elsewhere to brew more beer and start distribution throughout Arizona.
Just when they had exhausted many possible locations around Flagstaff, the city of Flagstaff put out a request for proposal for the historical Halstead Lumberyard Building, built in the early 1900’s, and had been abandoned for 8 years. After being granted the proposal, Winnie and Evan rehabilitated the lumber building to become Lumberyard Brewing Company."

Read moreAfter a visit to the North Pole Experience we stopped into Lumberyard Tap Room, with our family, for lunch before we headed back down to the valley. It was a Sunday and we arrived right before the lunch hour rush and Sunday football fans showed up to watch the games. This establishment is located downtown and right near the train tracks. If they have a parking lot near them, we didn’t see it, so we ended up using street parking about a block away. It’s December, so no one was using it, but they have a nice large patio, near the entrance, for outdoor use when the weather is good. The atmosphere, inside, is very casual. We ate in the main dining room but if just my husband and I return, next time, I would love to try sitting in the bar area as it seemed a little more cozy. Our server was very friendly and did a great job on keeping up with our service, even as it got busier and the tables filled up. My husband and I split the Nashville Hot and the Texas Burger, both with fries. They were both tasty but our favorite was the Nashville Hot. I’m not a fan of celery and I missed on the menu that the sandwich has a carrot and celery slaw on it. With that being said, I very much enjoyed this sandwich! My daughter had the Miso Mahi Salad which was visually delicious and she said she very much liked it. For dessert we all shared two Banana Pudding Jar and an Apple Pie Jar. Both were nummy and we were split on which was the favorite (Banana was mine)! With the pricing increase in nearly every aspect of consumerism, we felt that the pricing here was fair for what we received at this restaurant. Our kids had eaten at 4 different restaurants during this weekend and my son-in-law said this was the best meal and fairest price, of all of them. We would definitely...
