My service animal was not a emotional support dog. My service animal is a psychiatric assistance dog, which I explained and was willing to show you my card to prove he was a service animal not a emotional support dog and you refused. So yes, you are breaking the ADA. The definition is below so you can gain some knowledge about the ADA, so you won't refuse another person with this disability. See people, instead of just apologizing, this owner is arguing and to prove your stabilizement is unsanitary I will call the health department for an inspection. I am done with you. To all the people with an American disability, they will refused.
A psychiatric assistance dog (PAD) or psychiatric service dog (PSD) is a type of service animal that is trained to help people with mental health conditions or disabilities. These dogs can help their owners perform tasks they might not be able to do on their own, and can help them live more independently. PSDs can be trained for specific tasks, such as: Retrieving medication at a certain time Waking their owner up at a specific time or when an alarm goes off Retrieving ringing phones Alerting their owner to doorbells or people knocking Applying pressure with their body weight on their owner's lap or abdomen to relieve anxiety Providing space in crowded situations by standing between their owner and other people Recognizing physical stress signs in their owner and leading them to a safer area Some dog breeds that are generally good at this type of work include Labrador retrievers, German shepherds, border collies, poodles, and golden retrievers, but any dog with the right characteristics can become a PSD. The ADA does not restrict breeds that can qualify as service animals, so facilities cannot exclude them based on breed.
I was just there 30 minutes ago and you did, refused me so to the owner don't lie to yourself. Do not go to this place. They refused me taking in my service dog and they have a sign at the door that says service animals allowed. This is a federal offense and they could get sued or worse, something I will be thinking about. Plus while waiting to speak to waitress, I saw these 2 black cockroaches coming out of the swinging doors of the kitchen. I found a better place to eat. I recommend the...
Read moreWe wanted to try a different Thai place in Flagstaff today. When we visit , we have always gone to Pato thai which is very good. We won’t make that mistake again. We walked in, and were seated, but then were left for at least ten minutes without even a glance from the two staff members who were busy taking care if other tables and takeout orders. It was after the 3rd time the man waiting the tables walked past us without acknowledgement that we finally flagged them down and asked if we could get some water. Without an apology, he took our order, and left. I also had my two kids there with me, one who is two and eventually had to ask for a highchair. He was also served his drink in a glass with no consideration. The food was not even average. My plate looked like a chopped vegetable platter with some peanut dipping sauce that wasn’t even tasty - it was just sweet. My mother’s dish was a ginger dish with overcooked beef that was tough and sauce that was watered down. We joked the food looked like it was made with the most minimal effort required. My kids got the teriyaki chicken, and that was ok, but how can you mess up teriyaki chicken? After we were done forcing our meals down (I never send things back but if I wasn’t so hungry I would have sent mine back) the dirty dishes sat in front of us and the waiter came and asked us if we wanted a check. We asked if the dishes could be cleared and if we could know the desserts (I didn’t want to stay but my son was begging for a dessert). He did clear the plates, but not the table and threw the menu down, as they did with everything they threw on the table with no care. The best dish was the dessert for $6.95, the custard and sticky rice. Still below par. To add insult to injury , although it was funny at this point , was to include the signature carrot flower and cabbage garnish which was odd when the cabbage pieces were falling into the custard. We wanted to share the dessert- there 4 of us and they only brought 2 spoons. They also served it piping hot and did not warn us, so when my7yr old took a bite, he screamed and had to spit it out. We paid the high bill and tipped , but won’t be returning. The only reason there is one star is because the decor...
Read moreI’ve never ever written a negative review about a business ever but this place left me with such a bad taste in my mouth that I need to address it publicly. We visited from the Phoenix/mesa so we all think food was below average since we do have much better Asian/thai food where we live than Flaggstaff. That’s not my issue, I know the food was going to be mid. We were told by a server that It was Ok for us to have our well behaved 3lbs dog in the restaurant. He is trained and didn’t make a single sound in the restaurant. There are 10 of us, we all sat down, waited and ordered food until an older Asian female server told us that we have to remove our dog. I could’ve lied and said he was a service animal but I didn’t because I know he’s more well behaved than some fake service animals out there. I asked her why when we got the ok from the other server, she said “ because he’s not a service animal and we don’t want dog hair flying everywhere and have other customers complain”. I reminded her that even service animals hair could do the same. She gave me attitude and said something along the line of “ if I could have service animals removed from the restaurant too I would”. That’s just insane to me. Keep in mind, we are Asians so I hate that I’m even writing this about an Asian owned business. We went there for my little sister’s birthday (not like they know or care) and she had to stay in the car pretty much entire time with our dog while we eat during Flaggstaff’s cold mid December winter because she didn’t want me to do so ( I’m 8 months pregnant). She had to run back in and out to eat then to be with our dog. The inconvenience it caused her. We are reasonable people and wouldn’t just walk away ( all 10 of us) after we ordered and had them prepare the food. We would’ve happily walked away if they denied us/our dog right when we walked in. Saying it’s ok then kicking our dog out after we ordered is diabolical. Regardless I still tipped the waitress 20% even though she pretty much ruined our night/my sisters birthday celebration. Why? Because I used to be a server and understand how the service industry works when it comes to tip/geatuity . But seriously do better and treat...
