2018-04-01 Sunday 4:45-5:30pm My order was not in their menu. It was on the blackboard as special. “The Traveling Wilburys Burger with Curry Mayo, Sautéed Mushroom, Swiss Cheese, and Chili Flakes” (order came with pickle and fries) at local burger restaurant called “Diablo Burger” in downtown Flagstaff. After 1 hour 45 minutes bike 🚲 tour, I had an excellent burger that was highly recommended by my bike tour guide. They use local farms’ fresh beef. I could feel comfortable to order medium rare. 👀 Look at my pictures. The burger looked so yummy 😋. I was so impressed after I did have my first bite. Not only the burger tasted so fresh, tender, juicy, and yummy, but the English muffin also toasted perfectly, crispy outside and softened inside. With their curry mayo, melting Swiss cheese, and perfect amount of chili flake, the burger tasted perfect combination of spicy and seasoned. The seasoned fries were great too. Both burger and fries were not too salty. 👍🏻 Definitely I do highly recommend their burger if you have a chance to visit Flagstaff in Arizona. “Every Diablo burger is made from 6oz of 100% local, open range-raised, antibiotic-free and growth-hormone free beef from Diablo Trust ranches...... Because this beef is about 95% lean, we recommend that your DB burger be cooked medium rare.” (From their menu) #crossamerica #travel #trip #america #arizona #flagstaffaz #flagstaffarizona #local #burger #diablo #diabloburger #perfect #curry #mayo #currymayo #swisscheese #chiliflakes #englishmuffin #toasted #yummy #yummyfood #yummyburger #fries #seasonedfries #beer #pilsner #localbeer #localbeef #localfarms #hormonefree #antibioticsfree #beef #fresh #highlyrecommended #recommended #twothumbsup #アメリカ #アメリカ生活 #アメリカ横断 #旅行 #旅 #アリゾナ #アリゾナ州 #フラッグスタッフ #バーガー #地元 #バーガー屋さん #美味しかった #おすすめ #おススメ #ホルモンフリー抗生剤フリーのお肉 #ホルモンフリー #抗生剤フリー #牛肉 #新鮮 #カレーマヨネーズ #チリフレーク #チーズ #溶けたチーズ #イングリッシュマフィン #ピリ辛 #ちょうどよかった #美國 #好吃 #漢堡 #本地牛肉 #超好吃...
Read moreLocal burger joint that uses English muffins for buns. Came here per the recommend of a friend who was a former NAU student. There’s street parking around the area (only $1/hr and it’s unlimited) that you pay based on your license plate number. It was a little hard to find the place but it’s to the left of the entrance to Mix and it has the sign over its door. You just wouldn’t be able to see it well if you’re driving. You order first (there’s menus outside and a laminated menu at the counter) then sit wherever. They’ll follow you out with your drinks (no number needed) and they ask for your name for the food. Mexican Coke was $2.95 and the burgers ranged from ~$13 to $16. They’ll give you a water jug with cups. The veggie burger was better than I expected and comes with two toppings. I got grilled onions and thousand island dressing plus sharp cheddar for an extra 50 cents. The veggie burger was hearty and full of flavor though a tad bit dry. The fries were my favorite - they’re Belgian style and so tasty. We all preferred the fries over our burgers. There’s ketchup and mustard available at the tables plus the napkins. The Blake Burger came with green chilies that were more salty than flavorful. The Wrigley Field Burger came with bacon (always a plus) and all the burgers had a lettuce, tomato, and pickle spear on the side. The English muffin in lieu of a burger bun seems like a good idea in theory as it holds the patty more firmly but it was also a bit dryer. I like that the beef is grass fed but it also means that the more well-cooked it is, the dryer the meat becomes. We had to ask for takeout boxes because we were full - don’t let the portion...
Read moreLooking for a great burger in Flagstaff? Diablo Burger is a great stop. Amazing beef patty burgers, surprisingly tasty english muffin buns (ya, but hear me out), truly fresh toppings and stellar fries. I've been spending the long weekend in Flagstaff trying out local haunts for food ideas. Diablo Burgers was a gamble for us cause we hadn't heard of it, and only went cause it was close to our nearby hotel. But that gamble paid off.
Located right downtown Flagstaff in the restored square in the historic downtown area, the burger stop has a large outdoor table and hightop seating area. Inside are a half dozen hightop tables if you want to drink alcohol or be indoors. The whole decor and vibe is rustic but renewal vibe, very fun.
The menu is basically about a dozen selections of different burgers, all featuring local high grade 95% lean beef (really, it is truly worth the taste), your choice of condiments (via the burger name) and the unique english muffin bun. The english muffin bun is absolutely a brilliant and fun thing. And it totally works. Less carbs, and really great container that doesnt get soggy holding their massive patties.
The fries aee likewise excellent, thin sliced and crispy natural cut fries. Love it.
Prices are a out 15 per burger and that includes fries.
The staff is courteous, helpful and patient even with older people asking lots of obvious questions :) .
If you are in Flagstaff, or visiting, this is the absolute best burger stop in...
