We came into Palm Coast to visit my parents, and in anticipation of this trip, watched a St. Augustine “attractions” video on YouTube. This place was briefly mentioned and I saw the sandwich featured, so I made a mental note. We spent the first half of our day at the Alligator Farm (being typical tourists) and came out starving. I checked google maps to see what was nearby, and what do you know, I saw Sarbez right down the street – imagine my excitement!! The atmosphere walking in is truly impeccable. We played some well priced arcade games, had a freakin blast and stayed way longer than anticipated. Their Oprah bathroom is a must-pee and they have a fabulous selection of pinball machines. When we were ready to order, we chatted with the woman behind the bar who was sooooooo sweet. We got the Bez sticks and they were PERFECT. The right amount of crunch, perfect amount of pesto, over all an A+ cheese bread. For sandwiches, my husband and I both ordered the Wakin’ Bacon and it was hands down the best grilled cheese, maybe the best sandwich, I’ve ever had. Double fried eggs, crispyyyyy bacon, and toasted to perfection. We were visiting from Texas and have not stopped thinking about Sarbez’s food! In my dreams, maybe a location will pop up in the Houston area one day 🤞

We arrived at Sarbez after an evening of exploring downtown St. Augustine. It was getting a bit late, but they were open! It was nearing 11:30pm and we wondered if there was a chance for food. The nice girl behind the counter told us the kitchen was closing in "two minutes," and urged us to place an order quickly of we were hungry. We were surprised and delighted at the chance to place an order so late! I ordered a Green Ranger grilled cheese with Blood Orange Kombucha. Oh, that mozzarella, oh... the green apple.. Oh!! The caramel and oh, oh, oh... the bacon!! All so delectable. Prepared for us quickly and just so perfect washed down with kombucha. It was nice to stop in to show our guest a little more of St. Augustine by stepping into your cool dove and also check out your ever-expanding arcade set up. I really love what you've done with the place! I spy a new and even deeper addition to your original arcade where there are so very many pinball machines! Thanks so much Sarbez! We'll be back soon!

Just revisited Sarbez after four years! Wow, they’ve done a lot of work on it. There are wayyyy more games now but the food is still just as amazing. We visited during the day this time and it seemed more family friendly. I cannot even describe how cool and unique this place is, you have to see it for yourself. Try the green ranger grilled cheese! Review from 2019: I cannot wait to go back to sarbez! We got a hotel right across the street, specifically to check this place out. We were NOT disappointed! Man, the grilled cheese was to die for. We spent hours in the arcade, playing music and air hockey and duck hunt. The little porch out back is really cool. There was live music that was good. It's definitely a younger crowd that likes to hang out there (we are not) but everyone was respectful and polite. So worth the slight detour out of the historic district.

Speaking for just myself, there is quite a bit of variety and there was lots of room for flexibility.

It sounds silly to say, but I didn't realize it was possible to toast something so evenly and not burn it, but the texture was great. A little crunchy on the outside, stays fluffy with a hint of crisp on the inside.

I had a sriracha and jalapeno with, I believe, cheddar, and added turkey and bacon. I am jealous of myself for getting to eat it. Was a good deal with the pickles, chips and drink. The sandwich was big enough that I gave a quarter of it away to a friend and felt completely satisfied with what remained.

This might be the only place I've been that had music playing where you could actually still talk and hang out and hear yourself over it, which was lovely. Didn't play any games but they didn't distract, and it was cool to see that vibe again, especially the gigantic wall-sized Pac-Man.

Staff was friendly and not pushy and was eager to point out and explain things. Won't hesitate to bring people back or recommend if they want to do something fun or different. Heck, even if it's just me there's so much variety I might as well see how they handle all the other kinds since they managed to make something as basic as grilled cheese still interesting and...

Intriguing small pub bar featuring live music, craft beers and sodas, with the broadest selection of grilled cheese sandwiches that I have ever seen. We tried "That's Why I'm Hot" (jalapeno siracha spicy) and the "Green Apple Ranger" (titles are approximate). Both were delightful, with large slices of bread, crispy, thick, and filling. There were at least 18 craft beers, and about five craft soda choices.

We visited specifically to see a YouTube sensational duo from Brooklyn, the Other Favorites. The lively, engaging 90 minute performance included folk Americana, with overtones of bluegrass and classical guitar. Superb original songs, fine harmonies, and fantastic guitar riffs.

Only suggestion would be to add more tables or at least several more chairs, because for the performance we attended, there were not enough seats for the 40 or so who paid for tickets, yet there was a large open space in the center of the room. Ok to start that way if people are dancing, but if there aren't enough seats, more chairs could be brought out, offering folks a place to enjoy the tasty food.

Well worth the drive from Jacksonville in...
