Whetstone Chocolates — Restaurant in Florida

After a long afternoon of shopping, I stopped here for an iced coffee. After ordering, I observed the employee scoop ice out of an Island Oasis machine with no scoop and using my coffee cup. The employee spilled some of the ice onto the countertop prior to making the drink. She then used her gloveless hands to pick the ice up off the counter and off a nearby cleaning rag and placed it back in my coffee cup. I politely asked her for fresh ice, as I did not want ice picked up from a cleaning rag in my drink. Without responding, she rolled her eyes at me, walked away to dump the ice into a sink and then returned to the Island Oasis machine using the same cup and ungloved hand to scoop out new ice. By this point, I determined I was no longer going to drink the coffee, but I had already paid for it. Due to her previous attitude, I did not feel comfortable asking for a refund and just left the store. This is disappointing as reading previous reviews had me anticipating a different experience. Great selection of chocolate goodies, good coffees with a wide range of variations available, and very knowledgeable staff. There are samples available of the chocolate syrupy things- what you would add to coffees or drizzle over ice cream - a bit pricy but they are very scrumptious! I bought a box of shells as wanted to try something from whetstone, but they have a lot of truffle balls to choose from too. So, if you want to experience some good quality chocolate, this is definitely a place to visit. Whetstone Chocolate is a must go-to stop if you take a trip to St. Augustine! I say this with one 100% seriousness! Whetstone is the proverbial mecca for Chocolate! So much so that if Jesus hinself came back tomorrow. Instead of giving us bread as his body. He'd be giving us Whetstone truffles!

Whetstone chocolates are not just good for the body, but for the soul as well! So much so that you will fall in love all over again. Where if you stand outside and listening to the words of the wind. You will hear it whisper "Whetstone".
