I hesitated to write this review of my last experience in one of the restaurants that I enjoyed the most in the city, for the human quality of the people who serve it and of course, for the exquisiteness of its dishes. It seems that something has changed and unfortunately not for the better. The people they serve remain the same and they maintain their courteous and respectful treatment. Before they were proud to serve a well-made dish, now, they are subjected to the shame of having to receive complaints for the poor preparation and even for the deterioration of the flavors. There is something that is difficult to do, a bad pizza. Well, they did it at the Villaggio, the place that had become famous for being the best Brazilian-style pizza in the city, where there were queues and people waited gladly to know that they were doing it to taste a delicacy. Unfortunately it seems that this is over and if this review contributes to the reversal of the change that this place suffered or at least the quality controls that surely existed are resumed, I think it would be contributing to the business, its employees and of course, the diners frequent and sporadic that we enjoyed exquisite dishes, fresh and surely made with a passion for food. If it does not change, it is certain that the sales that I suppose have fallen will reach zero. I am going to send attached two photos of the pizzas that I ordered to take away and imagine the surprise when I opened the boxes and found that, made without meeting any type of standards in terms of measurements, shape and quality, and the taste,...
Read moreWent for my birthday, wanted to try something different than doing disney or something like a chain. Went because of nice decor photos and good reviews. This place is a joke. I made my reservation on opentable because I had a gift card through opentable. We showed up and were the ONLY party there and the waitress goes. “Um do you have a reservation, you need one. Ok we have one... its my birthday can we sit in your wine room. Um i dont think so, let me check. Actually yea you can sit in there but you need to watch your kid ok.” So freaking rude. Onto the menu. We get the menu and are sitting in a wine room,so she tells us the drink menu is inside. There is no drink menu. So she comes back and says oh yea we dont have one we will have it next month. We have um like a white wine and a red wine. Which do you want? We order brushetta which is shown in the menu as cold brushetta, only it comes soggy hot and baked with melted cheese on top? For our entrees my husband and I ordered the meatball and alfredo which BOTH meatballs came raw inside. After sending them back they tasted like burned rubber. My dads steak needed chainsaw to cut through it. For meals that cost $25+ A plate you should have staff with better service and manners. And serve people food that isnt raw. We also said it was a birthday on the opentable reservation and had to ask about birthday. I dont care about the free desert. Its because my 3 yr old wanted to see us have a candle and sing for my birthday. People please stay away from this one its so terribly bad in...
Read moreYeah don’t go there. Was celebrating a birthday and the waitress was so rude to us before we even said a word. She asked if we wanted to do the all you can eat or pizza, and when three people out of four in our check said pizza she berated us saying that if thats the case we better pick the pizzas now because they take 30 minutes to come out. Like ok???? We had just gotten there too so I just don’t get the rush. She kept smiling in a passive aggressive manner and talked very rudely the entire time. I went with “all you can eat” because I saw online a lot of options I liked, such as ravioli, alfredo pasta, etc. It was a disappointment. Most plates weren’t even getting to me because they were running out of food. For $38 dollars (with taxes and the 18% included mandatory tip), I ate 1 mini burger, a small side of french fries, 1 Brazilian coxinha, and very small portions of pesto pasta, agli olio, and gnocchi. I was never offered the ravioli, or alfredo, and many other options never arrived at my table. They were basically only getting me appetizers. The gnocchi tasted terrible, pasta had no flavor and the sauce tasted plain. Then I switched to the sweet menu and only got offered one slice of nutella pizza and two bite sized churros. I’m happy I tried the all you can eat because at least there’s no doubt I’m never having that again. The people in my table that ordered pizza ended up eating more than me. The tall waitress with black hair and thick frame glasses shouldn’t be in a customer service...
