I came here in the afternoon for a bite going off of the previous reviews. When I first stepped into the restaurant, it was dingy and the floors were sticky. Right away, that was kind of off putting but I put it to the back of my mind thinking that I shouldn't make a judgement until I had eaten. When I ordered, I decided to get the Golden Pouches. When they came out to me, they looked twice cooked and the middles were a bit rubbery like someone else had ordered and decided not to take it so they re-fried it up for me instead. Again, I saved from making a judgement as I was waiting for my food and appetizers can be messed up sometimes.
I ordered Pad Se-Ew and at first it was okay, not the best and not the worst. What was the most disgusting thing and what got them a 1 star rating was as I was eating I found a long black hair right in the middle of my food, nothing makes me more grossed out than that. I tried to call the waitress over, she saw me but decided to ignore me until I raised my voice. I showed her the hair and she said "oh" and walked away with the plate. Since I wasn't hungry anymore ( would you be if you found a hair in your food?) I told her that I just wanted to pay and leave. She charged me for the food, never apologized and then said as I was paying " It happens." IT HAPPENS!!!!!!!!! As if it's a normal thing. I would never recommend this...
Read moreUpdate: From 5 stars to 3 stars to 1. Ordered the pad kra praw for delivery- a dish I’ve been eating here for 8yrs. It came and looked nothing like the usual- it was dry chicken topped with canned green beans, Not chicken peppers, onions, carrots soaked in a spiced sauce as it had ALWAYS been. I had to google the location to ensure I ordered from the right place. I looked at the menu and realized it’s the ONLY dish not the same from the previous years.😒 Thanks for the notice that certain menu items have changed (and for essentially stealing $17 from me ($13 entree and $4 delivery). On top of that, the portion sizes have severely diminished. Instead of filling the takeout container, they now fill less than half. Save your money, there are plenty of better options in town. So sad to see the decline as a once very loyal customer.
2018: This has been my go-to for Thai for 6+ yrs, however I might be looking for a new go-to as literally every delivery I receive has an issue. “We are closing, can we fix it for you at lunch tomorrow?” Uh, no..? Also, it’s not cheap, so for $13+ an entree, a $4 delivery fee, and $6.50 for 3 tiny spring rolls, the least I expect is my order to be correct. Also, the sesame chicken had an “off” taste to it last time we ordered it, like.. old? Ick. Too bad because the green curry and phad kra praw have been favorites of mine...
Read moreFor dining in, I give Thai Station/Bann Thai 4 stars (before and after the late 2018 renovation and name change). It's not the best I've had, but it's very good if you eat in the restaurant. However, the delivery is the reason I gave them three stars. It is HORRIBLE. I've ordered the shrimp pad Thai for delivery three times (because I believe in second and evidently third chances...not every restaurant is "on" every single night and shrimp is difficult to keep nice with delivery), and each time the shrimp was ridiculously overcooked (to the point of being non-edibe), and the noodles were awful (I swear to God they are using old noodles and shrimp for delivery items). They are so sticky that they basically form a noodle block in the bottom of the container. Forget eating with chopsticks. Another reason for the 3-star rating on delivery is that there is a $15 SUBTOTAL minumum order for delivery and there is a $4 delivery charge on top of that! AND they don't carry the traditional Chinese hot mustard, what they do have made me spit it out. Save some serious dollars and time and order from somewhere else...
