DaVinci's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

WORST customer service that I've ever had. When I received my order, the pizzas were upside down and the meatlovers pizza was all over the cheese pizza. I kindly asked if they could replace the cheese pizza and put them in separate boxes because I don't eat red meat. First, I was told I shouldn't have turned the box upside down when I simply brought the box right back up there how it was handed to me. Instead of choosing to have good customer service, one of the workers proceeded to talk negatively about me in front of my face to another coworker. She continuously talked about how beef was not even red meat (it is) and proceeded to glare at me when I responded and said that beef is red meat and I just wanted it in separate boxes. She still ignored me and continued to talk about me by saying "Okay so she just doesn't eat meat then" (I do eat meat, just not red meat). I'm not entirely sure why she was so concerned or upset that I do not eat beef, but I was so shocked by how terrible the customer service was here. Across the board, the service was not okay. What a gem!

I did not expect much from a New York-style pizzeria located in a strip center along North Ocean Blvd., but I couldn’t have been more wrong. We stopped in for a quick bite while we waited for our rooms to be ready for check-in at a hotel across the street.

We visited twice during our 5-day stay but stuck to what we like – slices! The cheese is so cheesy, the sausage piled high, and the Grandma’s thick and Sicilian – full of garlic and delicious sauce! We also had a “side” of sausage links in marinara which were fantastic!!! And just in case you’re one of those who don’t like most red sauces because they taste like the inside of a tine can, no worries about that here. I wanted to lick the bowl clean!

The staff was really great. Friendly and engaging – it reminded me of being in my husband’s Italian family’s kitchen; a little loud but full of love and adoration. The restaurant was super clean and you can see directly into the kitchen, if that’s something you like to watch.

They delivered the food so fast I wasn’t ready. This was the day after Christmas around 6:30PM. I ordered a large pizza, wings and a garden salad. The pizza was still hot and the wings were just under hot but warm. Salad was fresh and cold.

The pizza was good. We got pepperoni, sausage and bacon as toppings. The crust was cooked all the way thru despite the hefty amount of toppings. I find places usually have a lot of toppings and the crust will suffer. This was not the case. The pizza was very large.

The wings were delicious. We just medium. The sauce was probably right out of a jar. Who cares. It was delicious. It’s not sweet like the hooters wing sauce. It’s more vinegar flavor.

Salad was fresh.

If you are in east Fort Lauderdale and want a solid quick meal I recommend this place.

Was it the best pizza I ever had, no. Was it good and was my money well spent? Yes and yes!

They were also friendly on the phone taking my order.
