We had been coming to Park & Ocean for years before the change in concessionaire so we wanted to try the new management. 15 minutes after sitting down there was no waitress so I walked to the bar to order like at the old Park & Ocean. We were informed we needed to wait for table service and would not be served from the bar. After waiting another 10 minutes, the server finally came and took our order. When she came back with the beers she did not know which was which and let us figure out which beers were in the cups. When the food came 20 minutes later my order was wrong and the server left to make it right. 20 minutes later (the next time she came around) I had to remind the server that my food was still not right. After another 10 minutes she came back with the correct order. The food is acceptable, on par or maybe slightly better than Park & Ocean but I didn't want to leave any tip because the service was among the worst I've ever had at any restaurant. I was informed they add 20% gratuity automatically (picture included). I really think they need to abandon the table service concept and go back to the way it was previously. This waitress was horrible and my only tip would be for her to find a different line of work.

Read some pretty terrible reviews, here's my 2 cents.. Came on a Friday afternoon around 4pm with a couple friends and my dog. YES they are still dog friendly, even have a bowl and water station for them. Before we even fully sat down we had a lovely waitress come by to see what we needed. Got water and menus, so yes they are doing table service. We did have to get up to see what beers were on tap but were offered samples before we committed! Unfortunately no happy hour. Food is good, not mind blowing. I had the turkey BLT with chips and enjoyed all of it, my friends had no complaints. Yes they do add the 20% on the bill automatically but it's what I would have tipped anyway so didn't bother me. Yes they have the "side path" closed off, I don't know why and didn't ask. The sign with the $2 is for the state park, it's the same fee if you walk/ bike in at the main gate, I'm glad they're enforcing it as it's a beautiful park that is well deserving. Yes there was live music and he was great! I miss Park and Ocean too, been going for years, but the grill isn't too different and I hope y'all can still come and enjoy the park.... and ocean... and maybe pop in for a bite.

We used to be regulars here. Have always loved this spot for a drink after walking around the park, and it's just right across from the beach. We waited 25 minutes before a waitress came to take our order. She then came back another 25 minutes later, with half of the drinks wrong. We ordered our food, which then came out before the other drinks had been corrected. The coconut shrimp and chicken tenders were very good, but everyone's fries were cold and soggy. We got our correct drinks at the end of the meal. We payed the bill and tipped the waitress, and then found out they also have an automatic 20% service charge on top of that, which isn't disclosed anywhere. The outdoor seating area is genuinely lovely, with all the beautiful trees and view of the ocean. I absolutely love the park, but much preferred Park and Ocean. Would go back for a drink, not for food, and as long as we had time to chill and wait for service.

So disappointed with what happened to this place. I used to come here a lot when it was Park and Ocean, but now I can't say I ever want to come back.

When my girlfriend and I arrived, I tried to order some food from the bar like how it used to be. I was told that they don't do that anymore and had to sit down and wait for a server. So we did just that.

We then proceeded to wait for 20 minutes as nobody came to take our order. Finally, we had to physically get up and tell one of the three waiters that we haven't been served. So we finally put in our food order, and asked for waters as well. We never received waters and our waiter never once checked on us, aside from bringing the food (which was another 40 min wait) and bill.

The food itself wasn't bad, but was nothing special. I was going to leave a bad tip because of the poor service, but then I saw that they charged me 20% gratuity for no reason. What a joke.

What should've been a convenient and relaxing stop to get food became a frustrating mess. If you're not going to allow people to order food from the window and grab it themselves, then at least have a hostess or something and make sure each customer gets served in a...
