River Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Frederick

It was 8:30 in the evening, the place was not even half full. We ordered our drinks (3) it took over 15 minutes to get the bottles of beer we requested. When they did arrive one of them was a light beer but not the one requested. It took another 10 minutes for the correct bottle of beer to arrive. Another waitress, not the original one asked to help us. We explained that we had been helped by someone else, but she insisted on taking our order. Ordered three entrees and one to go after we finished eating. One member of my party asked to have both her sour cream and her guacamole on the side and not on her plate. When the food actually did come we only received two of the three entrees. The lady who asked for her items to be on the side or both on her plate as well as given an additional side item of each. We had asked for extra chips and salsa and didn't receive those until the meal came and then the waitress left. A third waitress came over to see how we were doing and when I asked her about the third entree she got very defensive and explained she did not take her order and was not responsible. We were not defensive with her we were just asking. Five or so minutes later the third entree comes out and then a gentleman comes over to explain that it was put on the warmer at the lady who took our order did not understand everything we were telling her and that they would make sure that our take home order was ready when we were finished. When we got our bill there were extra charges on our bill of things that we didn't order. When one of the three waitresses came over to inquire about us being finished I let her know we were finished and she turned around and rolled her eyes at me.

Overall the food itself was delicious however I don't know that I would go back because the service and the people were overall not...

Well I always feel that restaurants in Frederick downtown are underrated and don’t get much attention as the boring chain restaurants. Okay! We were here during the fire and ice event, we had a fabulous time in the downtown. The restaurant didn’t have much crowd wen we entered, the food taste was good and sensed it fresh and delicious. I would have rated it a 4 star, but the water was given after 30 mins after requesting the lady for about 10 times, but still she didn’t offer it. But, another guy who was passing by have given us water in a couple of minutes. The lady didn’t seemed to b busy, she was just gossiping with fellow waiters. The service of food was good and the male waiter who was serving was very quick, he was fat but very energetic, I loved the way he worked and managed things around on multiple tables. I totally loved this place. Had dinner with my husband in the patio area. Music was at the perfect volume, not too loud. The atmosphere was incredible and the food was amazing. And for dessert, we had the flan and it was AMAZING. Never had a flan like that before.

If I had to give a feedback, it would only be the servers. Even though they are all very friendly. We had to wait couple of minutes to get one assigned to our table and then minutes later, a couple arrived to the table next to us and they waited so long that the lady had to stand up and look for a server herself.
