My son loves Raising Cane's. We were headed of town and so he waited for lunch so that he could get his from here. This time I decided to go in as it can some times be faster than the drive thru. When I got inside the dining area was empty and I was 1st in line. I waited patiently at the counter for amount 3 mins. A young lady was behind the prep area talking to the people who were actually working and on her phone. She looked at me but was trying to not be seen. I waited a lil longer hoping that maybe who ever was working the register maybe had to take a quick break. I continue to watch the window be worked and food be made by the other to ladies. The young lady again peeps out. At this point it has been over 5 min (yes I checked). I didn't want to be rude, because it was for my son. When the young lady peeps up again I tip toe so that we would meet each other's eyes. She still said nothing so I asked her if the dining area was closed, or was someone working it? She responded yes, but she needed to get someone. She walks around back for about a min, goes back to where she was and begins to fuss with the other employees that the person that was working the register has now clocked out and left. Then engage in conversation again, as if I wasn't there. She never comes back to address me at all. At this point I started looking for the hidden cameras because this has to be a joke. I know they go thru some type of training. A male manager walks to where he was putting up supplies. Finally he sees me, and comes up to me and asked if I had been helped. I explained what happened and he literally said "wow that shouldn't have happened, sorry". He took my order I paid, and haven't been back. This is completely unsat. It took at least a minimum of 8 mins to place my order, only to be blown off. The young lady continued to do nothing I asked my son to please choose a new...
Read moreI’m never the type to leave reviews, but I felt I had to. I went to this location the evening of 8/4/24. I had my service animal with me and was rudely told he couldn’t be there. I was not asked, “Is this a service animal?” I am used to getting THAT question respectfully, but not a blatant statement with lack of understanding or empathy. I am a person who does not look like your “typical” person who might need a service animal, so it was presumed that he simply couldn’t be one. When I replied to the rude statement, explaining that he was in fact a service animal, the worker (I’m assuming manager) asked me if he had a vest. Legally, my service animal is not required to wear any special identification, but he did have a badge on his collar which I willingly showed (although again, legally I do not have to). The worker replied with, “Um, okay.” Following that encounter, I saw him snickering with coworkers behind the counter. My dog does not wear a vest because it brings much more attention, in my opinion. This was beyond embarrassing, but also just ethically inept. After observing him with his coworkers, I left the establishment out of frustration and embarrassment. 30 mins later I tried to call the location 3 times, and let each call ring for almost 2 minutes and nobody picked up, nor was I given an option to leave a voicemail. I simply wanted to review the situation with a manager and quietly educate on how to ask these questions politely, especially to someone (like myself) who does not physically seem like they need a service animal. Ultimately, this all led to leaving this review. Disappointed to...
Read more1st impression and first time dining at a Cane’s. - 6pc tender with fries, toast and drink. The chicken and the fries came out fresh and hot. The restaurant was clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The dining area is laid out well and provided a variety of seating options, including outdoor, bench, hightop and booth. Food - The taste of the chicken was good and the quality of the meat was excellent (all white meat with no fatty or gristle bits). The coleslaw was average and the dipping sauce wasn’t bad but definitely not for me. I didn’t try it myself but my wife commented that the toast was very good. Cost - I’m not going to say it was pricey but the meal was around $18+tax and the cost is about the same price as a regular full service dine-in restaurant including tip. I probably won’t return Location - The restaurant is on the outskirts of the shopping center and lumped in with a Dollar General, Wawa and an Urgent Care Center. Unless you’re looking for it or know it’s there, it’s definitely a destination and not a “Oh hey, there’s Cane’s, let’s stop” kind of place. The parking is a bit tight and it’s a good thing the prices are higher because it lends to the clientele generally driving nicer vehicles and a better chance that your car door isn’t going to get banged up. Would I eat there again? - I probably wouldn’t. It’s not that the food or experience was bad, it just wasn’t worth fighting traffic or having to go out of my way for a...
