What an experience! Absolutely loved this tasting room. Didn’t make it to the winery, but loved this spot on main. Super cute patio. The inside is spacious and has a gift area. The wine bar is large with the friendliest staff of any winery or tasting room we visited while there.

It was our last wine stop of the trip. We were tired and feeling a bit put off by some of our experience. But the gentleman working this day we’re just fantastic.

Unfortunately, they don’t offer an official tasting experience at this time (aka Covid times). But they offer glasses togo. They even come in a cute little bendable plastic cup with a finger groove. So convenient. “Sexy John” (as so named by his coworker) was so kind and allowed us to sample (not officially taste, note) a couple of different ones before deciding on the glass we wanted to walk away with. I appreciated this as one glass is $15 (not bad and totally fair considering you also get the souvenir glass). I tried maybe three before settling on my takeaway. My friend the same.

We took our wine and proceed to peruse Main Street. While waiting for a table for dinner down the way, my friend and I left our party to wait to go back and grab “a bottle” for the night. Well, we ended up with six between us after “sexy John” allowed us a couple more samples we didn’t try before. I was so glad as I walked away with an excellent smooth cab type wine to take home.

It was just a great experience. If things ever return to normal and we come back, this would be a priority visit. I...

I had their Chardonnay at a small restaurant down the road. And while it was outstanding, crisps, and sweet. The service from their physical location left so much to be desired.

I walked in to ask if there was a separate entrance to the patio, to bring our 10 year old large mixed breed to. Instead of assuming their lobby was dog friendly as well. The man working their counter didn’t bother with a high hello simply “well all dogs that come have to be friendly, especially since we get busy with lots of other dogs, do you understand?” And while I understand apprehension towards large breeds. Especially pit bulls, the tone in which he spoke to me was extremely condescending. Especially when there’s so many other ways to ask if our pet is friendly. (He is. We wouldn’t take him out if he wasn’t.) we chose to continue on with our day elsewhere.

We drove over an hour and a half to enjoy Fredericksburg and I’m disappointed we couldn’t enjoy this tasting room in the...

I went to Becker this evening to pick out a gift for my boyfriend’s mom and enjoy a nice glass of wine. I was met with hostility and ageism/classism. My friends and I had just finished a hike a Enchanted Rock and stopped in town on our way in. They were at the counter while I shopped around. When I walked up to the counter, the manager was kicking us out for being intoxicated. We hadn’t had anything to drink since a wine tasting at 1pm and our visit was at 6:30pm. From the second we walked into the tasting room in our athletic gear, the staff were all watching our every move. Because we didn’t fit the image of “Becker Clientele”, we were quickly kicked out of the tasting room. I have been a customer of Becker for the last four years and my family for many years before me but because of this experience, I will not be back. I am disappointed in the way that the manager misread hiking exhaustion for intoxication. I will not be back to Becker tasting...

GREATEST WINES GREAT SERVICE My wife and I had planned to visit this place during our visit to Fredericksburg. And we are not disappointed. They have a big tasting room combined with a store. Outside is plenty of seating options also. We chose to sit outside. The staff is great and will tell you about the wines so you can pick five wines to taste. You complimentary get to taste the rose wine. So you taste six wines in total. We were really impressed as we tasted a total of 10 wines. I especially liked the Cabernet Sauvignon from the Wilmeth Vinyard. And the wine we were the least pleased with was the Cabernet Franc. But it was a great experience to taste these very fine wines.
