I have had Plant Slayer a handful of times and every time was DELICIOUS! Tonight I got to visit their brick and mortar for the first time, it's in a really cute little indoor area, there are other restaurants including Raw Fresno within this space. Their patio is really cute, has about 5 or so tables, there is an indoor area to sit as well, it's a decent sized space. Their menu seemed about the same as when they just had their truck. Food was AMAZING! They give you the choice between Beyond and Impossible burger patties, which is nice. I got their Campfire Burger for the 2nd time, it reminds me of the Western Bacon Burger from Carls Jr., which I haven't had in years since giving up meat. It has onion rings, thousand island sauce, bacon, lettuce , cheese, pickles. Soo good. Their Mac burger is also one of my faves, it's similar to a Bug Mac. The price is so reasonable for vegan food and honestly for a burger in general, around $15/$17 for a burger and fries, I feel that's average even at traditional burger places. Definitely be back, their customer service is also great, very kind. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you, if you haven't tried them yet, do it now!!

My milkshake tastes pretty decent, but my partner ended up throwing part of his away. Other than that my experience was pretty bad.

The setup discourages any interaction between the people working there and the person taking the order. When I called to try to place an order, I was told that I needed to place it online. Fine. I placed an order for fries and figured I'd order the milkshakes in person to ensure that they wouldn't be melted. Luckily I did this as, even though the website told me that it would take 15 mins to make the order, the fries were finished in under 5, leaving them to get cold on the counter for over 25 minutes before the milkshakes were ready (I did expect the fries to have to sit for a little, but I was expecting 5-10 mins, based on the estimated time that they would be ready on the website). In person, there is a keyosk for ordering, so not really any good opportunities to ask any questions. There was a bell there, so I could have rung it and called someone away from their work to come answer questions, but I really didn't feel comfortable doing that.

When the milkshakes were ready, and the lady working there gave me my order, I complained that there wasn't a good way for me to specify when I wanted my order to be ready. She condescendingly told me that there was an option on the online ordering to select when I wanted to order to be ready. But, it had said it would be ready in 15-20 mins, and it was ready in under 5... Had it said that it would be ready in 5 mins, I might have looked around for an option to delay the order. When I tried to explain this to her and also say that I really prefer to be able to talk to someone, she even more condescendingly said that she was trying to help me and that the world is online. I grabbed my food and started for the door, and she angrily told me to never come back. I wasn't going to write any sort of review, but the customer service was just too bad not to.

My partner read another review while we were eating that said the owner had terrible customer service and got angry as soon as someone else questioned something about their order. I suspect that the person with whom I spoke was the owner as she got nasty pretty quickly.

They gave us three straws for the 2 milkshakes and all three of them broke before the milkshakes were even a third finished.

Oh, and they only sell Impossible/Beyond burger patties. If you like those, great I guess.

Edit in response to owner's response, as several of the claims are lies. I never shouted at anyone. Instead, after ordering milkshakes at the kiosk, I stood awkwardly for a bit and then looked for hand sanitizer. It was behind the kiosk, but it was not visible without moving to the side (and closer to the employee work area than I felt like I should be). After a few minutes of me looking around, an employee asked if there was anything with which he could help me. I thanked him several times for his help. I based my timing estimates off of my confirmation email and the email that I received stating the fries were ready. If the owner's claims about timing are accurate, then that discrepancy is only because they emailed me that the fries were ready before they were actually ready. I never shouted that I didn't need a cup holder. But, I did say that I didn't need one. I'd think if costs were so tight, that they would appreciate not needing to give me one when it wasn't necessary. Apparently not, or perhaps costs are not actually so tight that the owner couldn't hire another employee. The owner interrupted me several times when I was trying to explain my concerns. I use technology regularly, including at work. However, I sometimes have questions when ordering food and prefer to be able to talk to an employee. When I voiced my concerns, a simple, "I'm sorry to hear that." would have left me much more satisfied.I'm sorry that it sounds like the employees here are so overworked & overwhelmed that handling customer questions is so aggravating for anyone working. I hope they treat their employees better than...

This was my first and last time at this establishment.

My niece and I decided to try this place out since she’s vegetarian/vegan and there aren’t many vegan restaurants around.

We walked in and started looking at the menu. Once we figured out what we wanted to order we asked for some assistance and clarification on a few things. Now this was our first time here. So we were a little confused about the ordering process.

The first thing that we had asked about was how to add tomatoes to the sandwich using the app because there were no cashiers. So the owner looked over the app and was also confused because she said typically there should be an area where you can add notes which there is once you’re ready to check out and pay. The second thing was that I wasn’t able to find where the salads were located so I voiced that I was unable to find the salads and didn’t think it was on the app. The owner came over and found it for me. I was genuinely confused and couldn’t see it on the app menu. But I could tell she was bothered or irritated with me for some reason. But I decided to brush it off.

Please keep in mind that when we entered this restaurant the employees and the owner weren’t very attentive. The owner was on the phone conducting an interview with a potential future employee. It felt like every question I had was taken as an inconvenience. So it made for a very uncomfortable environment. Also my niece and I were the only customers in the restaurant at the time.

Once the food came out I noticed that there wasn’t a fork in the bag for the salad I ordered. So I get up to look for a fork and couldn’t find one. The owner was still on the phone so I didn’t want to bother her any further. I tried to get one of her employees attention who was in the back doing something. I said “excuse me” several times but I could tell the employee couldn’t hear me so then I said “Hello” loudly a few times which finally got their attention. I simply asked for a fork because I didn’t get one and I also asked for another side of dressing because I wanted more dressing for the salad.

The owner decides to place her interviewee on hold to ask me if I received 2 sides of dressing and I said yes. She then tells me that is the usual amount of dressing they give out which is fine but I just wanted more.

Mind you I didn’t like the way she was speaking to me. She had a mean/rude tone every time she interacted with me.

At this point I felt the need to explain to her that it’s a lot of salad for such little sauce. I didn’t attack her or call her names. It was a simple straightforward statement.

The owners verbiage had become loud and aggressive towards me. She basically tells me that she doesn’t like MY TONE and that I’ve been this way from the very moment I walked in. She basically insinuates that I was being rude the entire time.

I told her I don’t think I’ve had a tone at all and that I haven’t been rude. I asked her how I was being rude and apparently according to the owner all of my curious confused questions regarding the app and the fact that I asked for extra dressing was done with a tone. I was baffled.

Obviously after all of that I was upset. It really affected my mental state to a point where it’s still on my mind at 1:30am. This lady lacks so much self awareness. She doesn’t realize that she’s giving off the very energy she’s complaining about.

The last thing she says to me before I leave is “the good thing about being the owner is that I don’t have to deal with customers like this/you”. Her intent was to hurt my feelings. She knew exactly what she was doing.

Unfortunately there were no other witnesses apart from the employees and the owner.

This review is for future potential customers. I am NOT interested in hearing from the owner. Please refrain from replying to this review because it is not intended for you. You’ve done/caused...

This place has some amazing vegan food! This is basically a burger joint that is vegan, burgers, sandwiches and salads. Also a few dessert options like vegan ice cream and candy bars. Also, also, they have vegan milk shakes and root beer floats. It also has that look like it's from the 80's/90's with the artwork and such. Finally, the portions were generous! I also liked that all packaging was recyclable or compostable. (Except maybe the candy bar wrappers.)

I do have some negatives/suggestions. 1) The first bad experience I had, when walking in, was being greeted by an off putting smell. Normally restaurants smell like their food and are generally friendly to the nose. This didn't smell like the food, but like something like burnt plastic or something. It was not nice. I expected to smell the food in addition to this, but the fans were going the wrong way or something. I'd make sure the place smelled better as a first step. 2) The second this is the drink selection. It was only bottled root beer (my favorite; and a good brand), bottled Dr Pepper, and tap water. I liked that both carbonated beverages used natural sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, but some people prefer other flavors and free refills. There was a machine for some sort of additional drinks or slushies, but it wasn't on the menu and the machine was empty. Maybe they are adding options soon? I'd suggest at least having iced tea, lemonade, and a couple other soda varieties like a cola and lemon-lime soda at minimum...and have free refills. 3) This is advertised as a vegan restaurant, but the pictures and descriptions really don't say anything on the topic. I was a little confused, even after I'd found it by searching for vegan/vegetarian options. The descriptions are "bacon", "American Cheese", etc. I was feeling a little gas lit and wondering if it was actually a meat restaurant that was saying they were slaying the vegetarian/vegan culture or something! We had to ask, just to verify. A simple change on the menu screen would make this obvious. 4) The following suggestions are not general, but mine personally. I personally am not a fan of loud music and prefer softer seating. They have hard chairs and music to match the era vibe, that is kinda loud. Many prefer it that way, so this is just me specifically.

This place is well worth the visit! Oh, and if you need a restroom, it is across the hall and you'll need a code from...
