Casa Sanchez Mexican Restaurant – A Moment I’ll Never Forget ❤️

On Friday night, July 18, 2025, something small but deeply meaningful happened that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. My family and I were driving back to Chicago from a road trip to California. It was late, and somewhere along I-70, my daughter urgently needed to use the restroom. After trying two exits and finding everything closed, I took a third exit and found myself in Frisco, where I came across Casa Sanchez Mexican Restaurant.

The restaurant was already closed. Still, I knocked on the window, hoping for help—and to my surprise, a kind male employee came to the door, listened patiently, and kindly let my daughter use their restroom.

I offered to buy something or at least pay for the kindness, but he refused. “We’re already closed,” he said, “but if you want, you can have some drinks on me.” I no said it’s ok and I insisted on paying to show my appreciation, but he simply said, “Don’t worry—I understand. I have a daughter too, and I know how it is.”

That moment of compassion, at the end of a long day, meant the world to us. It wasn’t just about access to a restroom—it was about being seen, understood, and helped when we needed it most. In a time when empathy can feel rare, this man reminded me that goodness still exists.

Casa Sanchez, you now have a special place in our hearts. I promised myself: next time I pass through, I’m coming back to enjoy your food and personally thank you again.

Thank you for your kindness, your humanity, and your incredible customer service. We need more people like you in...

We stopped in to dine on the patio at Casa Sanchez in the middle of a long bike ride. It was the first appealing place we saw as we headed into the Main street area during a small festival. We were seated quickly and service was reasonable after that. The downsides here for us really were the food. The chips were thick, unseasoned and almost burned, they were so overcooked. The house green salsa had good flavor, but the red one (that appeared to have roasted ingredients) was almost flavorless. We each ordered burritos, which came with rice and something that sort of resembled refried beans, though were very liquidy. My carnitas burrito was packed with meat, but it was exceptionally dry and had very little flavor. Even the green chile on top was fairly bland. My husband had a chicken chipotle burrito that was filled with a creamy chicken chipotle type of sauce, almost a soup consistency. It did not agree with his stomach the rest of the day, unfortunately. We always like to have a nice range of restaurants to stop at in the area, but I have to say we will not be returning here and cannot...

There aren't a ton of restaurants at the base of Copper Mountain, but even so there are some that we will likely not return to. Casa Sanchez is one of those on our skip list. The enchiladas presentation was pretty sloppy and the flour tortillas were disappointing. Overall the taste was pretty typical of your average Mexican restaurant. The burrito was huge, probably enough for two to split, but the taste was again very average. The sauce on top was sub-par, and probably should have been replaced with the somewhat better tasting green chile sauce. One thing that was really odd were all of the water cups lined up across a counter. It shouldn't be hard to fill these cups on demand for your customers. It wasn't even very crowded, so this seemed excessive and bordering on unsanitary. We will likely not return.

Came here for Taco Tuesday. I’ll start by saying don’t waste your time or money, even if the tacos are only $1.50 on Tuesdays. I didn’t take a picture of the tacos because they’re not worth it, but there are plenty of other pictures in others reviews. They only serve them crunchy, and you get to choose from ground chicken or beef but because neither have any seasoning and are watered down with some weird watery tomato sauce without seasoning you cannot tell which is chicken or beef! So gross! The salsa has zero flavor as well. Save your money and go get some real Mexican food from a restaurant that knows how to season their food!!

Maybe we came on a night without their normal chef, but the food was extremely disappointing. We had about 18 people, and all 10 adults were disappointed. Even the flavor of the rice and beans weren't very good. The churros were at least decent, but the flan was terrible - it had the consistency of scrambled eggs (picture below). Prices represented much higher quality food. The service was okay, but they refuse to split checks which is also a bummer, especially with today's technology. We have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants and are generally happy to please, but won't be returning here.
