IKEA Restaurant — Restaurant in Frisco

Johnny (I'm pretty sure that's his name) is always so sweet and kind at the food court register. He always greets us and wishes us to enjoy our food. I point this out because there are other cashiers who think we don't know they're swiping on their phone or playing chess and mindlessly checking us out.

The food here has been phenomenal. I wish they serve these delicious, healthy meals at local schools. Sometimes we make a stop here if we're nearby just to come see what's new.

Lately, I couldn't stop complimenting the Havana Chicken. I strongly dislike plantains but the way they made it gave me no regrets to give it a try.

On the other hand, I have bought 3 office chairs from Ikea and none of their wheels roll smoothly. I recommend purchasing real wheels off Amazon that says something like "Ikea replacement office wheels" to help...

First time going to IKEA (normally shop online) so I could check out their Kallax line of office items for my craft room. Since we've always heard their Swedish meatballs are the best, that is what my sister ordered at the cafeteria style restaurant (which is reminiscent of eateries in Germany/Austria). I ordered the salmon since that is one of our favorite items as well. We also got a slice of chocolate cake to share.

Swedish meatballs - We agreed they tasted like Salisbury Steak with gravy and the mashed potatoes probably came from a box. Salmon - Overcooked and the veggies were not good. Chocolate cake - best part of the meal. Not overly heavy or too chocolatey. Would definitely get this again.

We did not try the deli by the exit so we may do...

The service from the restaurant staff was horrible. I believe they may be racist against Mexican. I came shopping with my friend and we decided to try out the food for our first time. The lady servings the food completely skipped over me and even though I was next in line and once she got to me she spoke to me very rude. When I go to the guy to pay for my meal he was also very rude didn’t even look at me to pay and it seemed like it was just towards me and my friend. We saw their interactions with other people who were caucasian, they smiled at them and where nice. Very disappointing experience. Will not eat here again....
