I recently visited Jacks Pub with a friend and had a disappointing experience. One major issue that affected our visit was the presence of smoking in the restaurant or bar area. I was under the impression that smoking indoors was not allowed, so it was surprising and unpleasant to find cigarette smoke in the establishment.

The fact that people were allowed to smoke indoors made the dining experience less than desirable. The thought of eating while surrounded by cigarette smoke was dreadful, and it significantly impacted our enjoyment of the place. Unfortunately, my friend and I decided to leave because we couldn't bear the discomfort caused by the smoking.

While I understand that smoking might be someone's personal preference, it certainly wasn't to our liking. The presence of smoke in the air tainted the atmosphere and made it difficult to fully enjoy the menu items that Jacks Pub had to offer.

I apologize to Jacks Pub, but due to the issue with smoking in the restaurant or bar, I can only give it a two-star rating. It's crucial for establishments to adhere to regulations and create a comfortable environment for all patrons, including those who do not appreciate or tolerate...

This is definitely local and not a tourist trap. It is so down to earth, bartender was amazing and the FOOD WAS DOWN RIGHT AMAZING! We love a dive and this was it! We were on the island for a little get away the husband and I, I can say from all the places we went this was MY MOST FAVORITE! The drinks were well made, something you should expect at a bar and not all bars can do. No complaints on that at all! What shocked us and made us definitely want to come back for was the food! It's Lent season and you know us Catholics need our fish on Friday. I was searching for a place on the island that served decent fish and saw the reviews. CLAIRE gave high remarks about the fish. I am from the island and never like any of the restaurants fish meals because we can make our own at home so we are picky. Let me tell you!
