The room my husband and I stayed in at this super 8 was very clean. The bathrooms were nit that small but rhe only bad thing about the bathroom was the bath tub. When you run water in the tub the bottom of the tub becomes very slippery. They do not provide a bath mat fir the bottom if the tub and can become very dangerous taking a shower. My husband's feet slipped and it did have handle bars in the shower but he still fell and split his upper right arm open. Plus there was no towels un the bathroom but the manger did bring some towels and wash clothes over that night. But we did notice the next morning that there was no soap, shampoo, conditioner or lotion. So my husband called the front desk and she said she would let rhe housekeeping know. It took a while for housekeeping know. A few minutes later she showed up with all that stuff we needed to shower with. My husband also explain to her about the bath tub floor being real slippery. He asked if they do by chance provide a bath mat to put in the bottom of the tub and she said no. He told her what happened to him by falling in the tub and he also told her that it could bring in a big law suite because if someone would fall and break a bone such as a hip, leg,arm or any bone that person could sue. My husband got very lucky and did not break any bones just a cut in his upper right arm. He did fall hard too. So my husband suggested that either put in a bath mat or put in those slip strips to help keep people from falling. The housekeeper saud she would let the manger know about the fall and how slippery the bottom of the tub is. We just don't want to see anyone get hurt and end up breaking a bone or something worse. Other than the tub problem the room was very nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. We will stay at another Super 8 again. Plus they are fairly reasonable too and are pet friendly. Of course they do have a pet fee of $20.00. They do take credit or debit cards but do not know if they take cash. Most hotels do not take cash but maybe some motels might take cash but not sure about that. If you never stayed at a Super 8 give them a try. We were at first not knowing what Super 8 would be like but it was better than we thought other than the tub accident. So give them a try. I think you will be happy with them. Thank you for...
Read morePlease note: The property is under construction, the pool and hot tub are green and closed. The room was fairly clean. I ended up filing a complaint Wyndham corporate because there was no reference to the property being under construction anywhere on any of the sites I looked at before I booked. They did refund me for my stay.
The first room I checked in to had no lock on the door to the adjoining room. I have sensitive work equipment with me when I travel, an unsecured room was not acceptable. They did move me to another room.
There is broken furniture and mattresses all over the parking lots. The hot tub and pool have frogs, mosquitoes, poly wogs, spiders and insects. Now, where I understand properties go through renovations and remain open, there is a proper way to make that happen. First, you hide the construction as best as possible. You move the old furniture and mattresses out of sight and certainly do not have the construction dumpster in the middle of the parking lot. If you are closing the pool and hottub, DRAIN them completely and cover them COMPLETELY. I have stayed in many hotels undergoing construction and they tuck away their trash out of view. If you can't do that, then CLOSE the property while undergoing construction.
The housekeepers brought their children to work and the kids were running up and down the walkways, knocking on doors, yelling and playing. This is completely unacceptable as I had explained upon check-in that I work at night and sleep during the day. While I had a do not disturb sign on my door, the kids were playing (very loudly) in the room next door bumping the adjoining door, which led to my room.
The sad thing is, the manager told us that a guy from Wyndham corporate had been on the property two days prior and told her the property passed inspection. My pictures show otherwise. I ended up leaving the hotel the following morning once I found another hotel to move to. In my history of travelling, this is the first time I have ever left a hotel in the middle of my stay. If you have questions as to whether the site is still under construction, please call the hotel...
Read moreOur stay at this motel was not at all what we anticipated. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Why is that? The room rate was very good considering the proximity of being right near the activities. However, I could write a novel outlining things that were really awful about that motel. I’ll just do this shorty story. The hotel clerk at check in just seemed annoyed at any questions! I asked why we were being charged an up charge for our dog. We were quoted one price before arriving and then denied that upon arrival. They would not honor our AARP discount either. It gets worse. The room although ok was dirty. I never saw any room attendant actually mop the floors with anything. The towels were dirty with stains on them. Beds were ok and the room was big enough. The door had a crack at the bottom big enough to let things in from the outside since this is a motel. The last night before we left when my husband woke he saw roaches on the counter ewwww! I called Wyndham since it’s a Super 8 by Wyndham but they were not very helpful at all. Breakfast was not good at all. The cheapest way ever to say continental breakfast. If I was working there. I’d throw it all out and start over. Who serves bad fruit? They did! I spoke to the clerk the morning we left regarding issues. He took my phone number for the owner call me. The owner instead of calling, sent me the rudest email I’ve ever gotten in my life. He basically called me a liar. I’ve forwarded that to Wyndham because this motel is giving them a bad reputation. The worst place ever! I had an airbnb myself and never addressed complaints calling the customer a liar. You generally apologize and say the issues will be addressed. The very last thing I saw before leaving was one of the room attendants stuffing trash from her hand into the bushes. That’s not a lie it’s the truth. Guess it was too far to walk to the trash can on the property. The rudeness from the owner is unbelievable. Do not stay there!!!!!….. RP,...
