So disappointed that this place is in Gatlinburg instead of Pigeon Forge but here's hoping that one day they'll open a second one. 🤞Went opening day and we were blown away with most of the food. Only one item (the smash burger taco) I wouldn't order again unless they included some type of house made sauce. But the nachos (please order any of the chips..made in-house and what a difference), the chicken and waffle taco, the BBQ taco, and the shrimp taco were fantastic. I don't know how they get that chicken so perfect and crunchy but I'd go back just for those alone, along with the nachos. One of the best parts is that you can order whatever you like anytime of the day. You want tacos in the morning, fine. You want breakfast tacos at night, fine. I love that. The atmosphere was bright, open, and very clean. Just beautiful inside, even the bathrooms. Chatted some with the staff and all were friendly/helpful. Go... You won't be disappointed.

my fiancé and i were looking for somewhere to eat in gatlinburg tuesday night and wanted to try somewhere we have never been! i started looking at places on my phone and taco trail came up. we both love tacos so we figured we’d give it a shot and let me say it did not disappoint. when we walked in the atmosphere was amazing, staff was super friendly and helpful with suggesting menu items. this place is brand new so it’s beautiful inside and it’s very spacious. my fiancé got the chicken and waffles taco and the chicken mac and cheese taco. i got the korean bbq taco and a shrimp taco. we also spilt the rice and street corn! everything was super delicious and the ingredients used are quality you can tell by taste! our favorites were the chicken and mac taco and the shrimp taco! we will be coming back here every time we make our way to gatlinburg!

March 2025 - family came here for the week and this was our first food place we stopped at. We loved the food. The kids (3 daughters from ages 7-12) ordered the chicken tenders one with potatoes and the other with rice. They gave two thumbs up. The oldest ordered a taco with potatoes. Wife ordered two tacos, one with shrimp and the other with chorizo. She said they were good and hit the spot. I ordered the zero day bowl. It was good and filled me up. Not to spicy for me. Last we ordered the chip trio. The family loved the sauces. Overall, the place is big enough for a large family, there is a bar on the other side, staff is friendly, bathrooms, and a wonderful find. Worth checking out if you like tacos!

A Culinary Journey: My Unforgettable Experience at Taco Trail Taqueria & BarFrom the moment I stepped into Taco Trail Taqueria & Bar, I knew I was in for a treat, but I honestly wasn't prepared for the culinary revelation that awaited me. This isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience, a vibrant celebration of flavor that transports you straight to the heart of authentic Mexican cuisine.Let's talk about the food first, because it was, without exaggeration, out of this world. Every single dish I sampled was a masterpiece, meticulously crafted and bursting with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I started with their guacamole, and it set the bar incredibly high – creamy, perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of tang and a subtle kick. It was clear that this wasn't just scooped from a tub; it was made with love and attention. Then came the tacos, the true stars of the show. I tried a variety, from the classic Al Pastor with its perfectly caramelized pork and pineapple to the surprisingly tender and flavorful Carnitas. Each tortilla was soft, warm, and clearly fresh, serving as the ideal vessel for the incredible fillings. The meats were succulent, marinated to perfection, and adorned with vibrant salsas and fresh toppings that elevated every bite. The balance of textures and flavors in each taco was simply sublime – a symphony for the taste buds. I particularly adored their unique take on a fish taco, which was crispy yet flaky, complemented by a zesty slaw that cut through the richness beautifully.Beyond the tacos, their esquites were a revelation – warm, creamy, and smoky, a perfect side dish that I could have eaten bowls of. And the churros for dessert? Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, dusted with cinnamon sugar and served with a rich dipping sauce that made for a perfect sweet ending. It's rare to find a place where every single item on the menu shines, but Taco Trail truly achieves this. The "Bar" aspect of Taco Trail also deserves high praise. Their cocktail menu is inventive and features a fantastic selection of tequilas and mezcals. I enjoyed a perfectly balanced margarita, which was neither too sweet nor too tart, and complemented the robust flavors of the food wonderfully. Now, onto the service. The staff at Taco Trail Taqueria & Bar were exceptional. From the moment I was greeted, I felt welcomed and valued. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations and patiently answering all our questions. The food arrived promptly, and drinks were refilled without us having to ask. What truly stood out was the genuine warmth and attentiveness of everyone, from the host to the bus staff. They created an atmosphere that was both efficient and incredibly friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant itself adds to the charm. It's lively and inviting, with colorful decor and a comfortable buzz that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner with friends or a lively spot for a night out, Taco Trail fits the bill perfectly. In conclusion, Taco Trail Taqueria & Bar is a gem. It's a place where passion for food and dedication to service converge to create an unforgettable dining experience. If you're in search of authentic, incredibly delicious Mexican food served with a smile, look no further. I'm already planning my next visit to embark on another culinary journey down...

From the moment I stepped into this glorious new addition to the strip, I knew I was in for a life-altering culinary experience. The atmosphere? Nothing short of perfection—if heaven had a dining room, it would look like this. And the food? Oh, the food! Every bite was a transcendental journey into the depths of flavor itself.

We embarked on a bold mission: sampling five different tacos, each a masterpiece in its own right. The flavors exploded like a firework show in my mouth, each one vying for the title of ultimate taco supremacy. But then, I met the one—the Chicken Queso & Mac taco. A creation so divine, so utterly decadent, that I swear I heard a choir of angels sing with every bite. The creamy, gooey queso, the perfectly seasoned chicken, the unexpected yet brilliant addition of mac and cheese—it was a textural and flavor symphony that left me weak in the knees.

If you haven’t eaten here yet, drop everything, cancel all plans, and make your way to this culinary paradise immediately. Your taste buds...
